The silent treatment can be fun and satisfying to apply, but does not address the issue. It can only serve as a method to let someone know that you aren't happy with them. Once they notice, the issue must be resolved with communication. Let them know why you are not pleased with their behavior and state specifics. They will likely counter with some type of personal defense or apology and it is up to you to determine whether their excuse/apology is acceptable or not.
