Celtic's about to hit a soft spot in the schedule? AB just happens to need two weeks off. Keep it up Danny, I need to watch Jabari for the next 10 years.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
If Bayless' injury is minor I think we'll see him there at SG with Rondo, Bayless at the starting combo and Pressey and Johnson off the bench.

Keep on chuggin tank train. 8)
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I don't like to call it tanking. I like to call it "strategic development".

1. If neither are legit parts of our future, Trade Bass and maybe Green. if it's for Asik limit his minutes because of his "sore knee". Secure top three draft pick

2. Call up a D-League small forward to play behind Wallace.

3. Call up Romero Osby to play behind Sully & Olynyk

4. Limit Rondo's minutes, bring him back slow.

4. Get "one" top three pick this year

5. Take all your cap space in 2014, or more likely 2015 and sign one, maybe two max free agents.

6. Compete for championships

7. Receive lottery picks from Brooklyn in 2016, 2017 and 2018 - while competing for championships.

Once johnson proves to be better, ab will on the first flight out to another team.

Really disappointed with AB post surgery version. Never cuts to the basket anymore

It's funny how people were complaining about how we had too many guards a month ago, and now this.

Also Rondo may sit tonight as well being the second game of a back to back.

Watching the D-league guys could be fun, or frustrating...

You know what is sad about this team?  My first thought was "[dang]it, there goes our offense.  How many points are we going to score now?"  That was my first thought about AVERY BRADLEY.  Ugh.  I'm still on board with the high draft pick strategy, but yeah....

If you're not tanking, you are not trying. I'm with the tank movement.

Is it possible to join a bandwagon for tanking?

I've been riding shotgun in the tank since the draft-day trade was announced, and the early success truly worried me. But now that we have started to plummet, we need to hit rock bottom.

This draft will be too good to miss. Usually it is one guy, maybe two. There are potentially five franchise-changing players.

The worst record would be nice to ensure a top 4 pick, but as long as we are in the bottom 3 I think we are fine.

Of course I would love Embiid, Parker, or Wiggins, but Randle or Exum are excellent consolation prizes.

Ainge needs to deal Humphries and/or Bass to contenders next.

I want to say that I am still all in on tanking and one of my proudest memories of being a C's fan was being at the historic 18th consecutive loss.  We can all read about it here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/02/12/AR2007021200240_pf.html

and remember that season gave us the 5th pick which was the key to getting Ray Allen, which was in turn the key to getting KG.  This year we don't even have to bother trading the 5th pick if we get it, we can just draft Dante Exum and use the Pierce trade exception to a team trying to cut salary.  All I'm saying is I miss watching championship caliber basketball, although we didn't have it last season, either.
