Doc simply is NOT much, IF ANY, better of a coach than Vinny.
Smitty77

All credibility gone with that statement.

Then, why not just see IF I am correct.  Can you do that??  I wouldn't be shocked if the Clips have about the same regular season record as last year despite this HUGE alleged UPGRADE in the head coach position.

Del Negro is a terrible coach.  I don't care if you don't think as much of Doc as some others do.  Del Negro is terrible.

Over a 53% winning percentage and 4 of his 5 seasons at .500 or better.

Doc coached three Hall of Famers in Boston for six seasons and he ONLY has about a 2% higher winning percentage!!!

If Vinny is a terrible coach, then so IS Doc!!!!

Do you remember last year, game 6 vs Memphis when Del Negro played Jamal Crawford, the third best player on the team, only 12 minutes and not in the second half at all and when asked why he did this had no justification?  Not even an answer?  He said "that's how the game went".... YOU ARE MAKING THE SUBS!  Or how he played Billups, who was awful and still injured, over Bledsoe in that series too? Billups whose main asset as an aging player was supposed to be shooting, and shot 30% from the floor. ;D

Did you ever actually watch the Clippers?  Who never ran a play ever with him as their coach?

“So, what do the Clippers call their offense? Does it have a name?

‘Yeah, Chris Paul,’ Del Negro said, referring to his All-Star point guard. ‘All these names and all that stuff – you just put the ball in the best player’s hands. I’m sure the ball is going to be in LeBron’s hands.

Right this guy is really good.

He had talent, and they won in the regular season (woohooo talent almost always does) and then crashed and burned in the playoffs.

Are you talking about the GAME when their THIRD BEST player shot 0-5???  And Matt Barnes went off for 30 and 10???  Oh that game.  I can CERTAINLY understand WHY Vinny made that call.  Billups has always been Mr. Clutch come playoff time and Bledsoe has proven NOTHING in the playoffs and really NOTHING in the regular season!!!  Bledsoe was 0-1 in the game you referenced in 9 minutes!!

Billups was 30 percent in the series.  You are reaching hard to defend a bad coach.

Bledsoe has done nothing in the regular season or playoffs?  Why did he just get paid then?

These Doc posts are embarrassing to read.  They're like posts made by spurned lovers.

18% from long range!!  Under 65% from the FT line!!  Barely a 2 to 1 assist/TO ratio.  He is certainly an All-Star:-))

  • Law mercy!
The got rid of Vinnie Del Negro.

They added outside shooting.

That fixes their biggest two weaknesses.

I expect them to be top 4 seed in the West.
That is my thinking as well, but you have to love the freakin' knee jerk reactions after they lost that game last night.  ;D

One of the best perimeter defender's in the league definitely isn't better than old Billups shooting 30 percent.  Nailed it.

FWIW the tanking Sixers just beat the Heat.

Clearly Spolestra is a terrible coach.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Obviously this is not factual.

But I like to think the Clippers lost (and are going to lose a lot more) because Doc is too busy complaining to the refs to coach.
