Who else saw "Chicken Nuggets idea"? I can't seem to un-see it.

That would have been a good idea.

Not a bad idea. Gotta have the sweet and sour sauce though.

Don't see Denver doing that without a couple first rounders going their way. I also do not see the logic in bringing in Gallo with Green here.

This.

People saying Boston would be the team to say no? Denver says no in a heartbeat.

And did somebody actually say Gerald Wallace is better than Danillo Gallinari? Wow...

Thank you.  The Celtics should do this every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Vehemently disagree. You win with stars, not 7-8 border line guys. The Nuggets themselves are proof of this.

Rondo is a top 20 or do NBA player, and is a top 5 player when the playoffs begin. Celts would never do this trade. Never. It's a trade for a team that wants to win 40-45 games and not compete at all for a title.

I like me some Rondo, but he's not a top 5 NBA player when playoffs begin.  He's comfortably in the top 4 at his position in the playoffs (CP3, Parker, Rose, Rondo) and people arguing him to be #4 in that group wouldn't be completely off base.  I'd say he's somewhere in the top 15.

Lawson is a very good player and a player who has done well in the past 2 postseasons.  Gallo is also a very good player.  The type of player who would be a fantastic 3rd option on a contending team.  Gerald Wallace is a player and contract that you'd have to pay to get rid of.

Like someone else mentioned, Denver would say no.

I don't hate Denver as a trade partner. I don't think Lawson is as good as Rondo but I do think Denver could make it worth our while. Something like

Rondo/Wallace/Bass
for
Lawson/Faried/2014 1st

I'd bite on that for sure. I think that getting two really good young guys, a 1st rounder and shedding salary is about what Rondo is worth. No way Denver does this trade but it's probably what I'd ask for if I were Danny. An interesting thing about Denver is that they actually have the financial flexibility to do this (I think):

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=m6fym68

Again Denver would probably not go for this but it's not out of the ballpark for Rondo. He's averaged 12/11/5/2 the last 3 seasons. Consider that his numbers actually get better in the playoffs to 16/11/7. Chris Paul had 20/7/4 which is equivalent or worse imo. Throw in Rondo's 12.5M/yr contract for the next 2 seasons...

You guys think Denver would make that trade for Chris Paul on a 12.5M/yr contract? I do.

This. Lawson is really undervalued. And Fab isn't an NBA player. I'm not sure he's a Yugoslavian player (dead serious).

Rondo (when healthy) has shown the ability to dominate playoff games on a fairly regular basis. Nobody Denver sending over in the trade has. It's possible Denver says no to the trade but if it happened the Celts would become a team that will be able to make the playoffs on a regular basis but will have no hope of competing with the better teams. I don't think very many people are looking for that.
