I don't know about opening night, but I'd be pretty surprised if Christmas isn't OKC vs Miami. Some other games could be  Knicks vs Nets, Celtics @ Lakers, and a late game between Memphis and the Clippers.

My predictions and preferences:

Nets @ Knicks
Celtics @ Lakers
Spurs @ Heat
Bulls @ Thunder
TWolves @ Clippers

-The Atlantic Division rivalry should be interesting between these two New Yorkers.
-The greatest rivalry in league history on Christmas? Sounds good again!
-The team that was supposed to show up in the West to face the Miami Heat in the finals last season could be fascinating here.
-Then we get a somewhat boring matchup between a Rose-less Bulls and an electrifying Thunder team.
-Finally, two PF rivals of Blake Griffin and Kevin Love with PG stars CP3 and Rubio. Definitely a must-watch game.

Of course, only in my dreams...

Ha, just like I predicted. Stern is so predictable. As soon as the end of game 7 against the Heat, this was my first thought...
Yeeeaaaa!!!

Yup, this was pretty obvious.  As was mentioned in the other thread about opening day:
since the start of the Big 3 era, we have faced Lebron in the openers 4/5 times...
I think the shocker would have been if the C's didn't play the Heat on opening day.  ;D

TP Trivia (for anybody):

Who did we play in the very first game of the Big 3 era?  No looking it up!

Correct sir - TP.  KG had a 20/20 game that night and I don't think I sat down all game.

The atmosphere in the Garden that night was incredible.  The "buzz" was definitely there.  Special night.
