still unsure of the bench if they have to settle on pietrus to play heavy minutes at the 2...

and if ray walks..who plays the 2 while AB is out? I think they need terry off the bench...you can't start Pietrus at the 2 for months...just can't do it. you can't go with moore. he isn't nba starting talent..

do you play PP and the 2, start green at the 3 and let Pietrus back up green while jet backs up PP?

and if ray walks, I think boston needs to look at bringing dooling back. no ray means jet has to be your primary shooter off the bench and not the PG....

Why can't they start Terry when Bradley's out?

They can, but Doc tends to preserve lineups in these situations when he can. I think he'd want to get Terry established in his role.

b/c its best not to start a player that is going to have to fit into a bench role later, messes up the system and their groove/rhythm

I'd rather Pierce slide to the 2,Green 3 and run that. Green needs to the time/exp to get back into the game. Either that or start Pietrus since he'll end up playing a Marquis role this year as the backup bench glue guy IMO

Aside from Green being a bench player later and starting now, it's fairly unusual for teams to refrain from starting a player's primary backup when they're injured to keep the backup in a groove as a bench player.

I'd love to get Mayo though. And theres rumors that Memphis wants Ray, but Ray doubtfully has mutual feelings.

If Ray was straight forward and said I wanted to go to Miami with fewer hard feelings, and wanted Boston to get something in return for the bird rights/cap space, then maybe we find a 3rd team to work a S/T, either the Clips or Griz

BOS sends Ray(5m)to MIA, Hollins(2m) to LAC
MIA sends Miller(5.8m) and 2nd round pick to LAC
LAC sends Young(6m) to BOS

BOS sends Ray(5m)to MIA, Hollins(2m) to MEM
MIA sends Miller(5.8m) and 2nd round pick to MEM
MEM sends Mayo(7m) to BOS
Can't stop, Rondo!

I like both ideas, but Young has signed with Philly so he is no longer an option. The sixers just announced they are not bringing Lou Williams back. He probably asked for too much money. Maybe the C's can make something work. He and Rondo are friends. The only disadvantage of the C's getting him is his height. Could help entice josh smith to come at some point because both rondo and Williams are friends of his
