Marshon Brooks - Interested? What would it take?

He's had a lot of minutes for a rookie. Hard to say what his Ceiling is but he is definitely a nice pick up.
I don't understand why you'd be desperate to pick him up after his performances on the worst team in the NBA.
As some have noted, he shoots A LOT.
He has the tools and potential to be a great player though, but I wouldn't give up anything that the Nets would want in return for potential. We have 2 first round picks and will probably net at least one player better or with more promise than Brooks. Last years draft was weak.

I'd love to get a hold of him, but I agree it would take some considerable bait to get him. 

Here's the REAL question, would you go back and swap him for AB now that Bradley's shown his stuff? 

What's his ceiling?  It's hard to know when you're on a team like the Nets.

No way and not close.  What is the fascination with Brooks?? Me first gunner with aversion to haring the ball and unwilling defender. AB is 100% the opposite. Is it because people saw a lit of him at PC?? He put up OK numbers on a terrible team. AB is MUCH more value. Should we trade Pierce for Gerald Green she we are at it?

I wouldn't swap him with Bradley. While I disagree that Marshon is an unwilling defender, because he is, the reason I won't swap him for AB is we could address our scoring problems in FA and the Draft. Plus, AB is a way better defender as much as Brooks is a willing one, a good rebounder for a guard, and has ability to create his own shot, AB's defense is more valuable to this team right now,.

Is this is for JJJ, i'd do it in a heartbeat.

I have been very impressed with this rookie.  The guy can
basically score at will like none I’ve seen besides All-Star caliber type players and he is only a rookie.  He can take you off the dribble, spot shoot, come off screens, you name it.
 
I wonder if NJ knows what they have.  I wonder if the league has taken notice or DAinge for that matter.  I wonder what would it take to get him.  Me?  I would trade one of my draft picks if not both and then change.  I think he is that good.  I think he is 6’5”, so would have to share minutes with Bradley at SG.  Or Bradley can play more PG and give Rondo more of a breather.  And then, you get your 3 guard rotation of the future.  He can even play some SF.
 
How interested are you on this kid? 

He is definitely flying under the radar in my opinion.

This guy is the sure thing.

He takes way too many shots, isn't a defensive player, and played on the worst team in the league inflating his numbers. No thanks on both first rounders or Bradley for him.
