6 INTs in 6 quarters so far....

He was way better this week though. While his 3 picks didn't help Oak's defensive effort, having to play from behind without DMC didn't help either. I think Palmer finishes righting the ship next week.

Also, solid fantasy play.

Still, they lost to a dogcrap Denver team.  That's pretty unacceptable when you're trying to win your division and your team goes out and lays an egg like that.  Two weeks in a row now.

They still have the Chargers twice, Packers, Lions, and a Chiefs team that throttled them (at home mind you) last week remaining on the schedule.

He's gonna have to play better than that if this Raiders team is going to make the playoffs.

If you're trading what is potentially 2 first rounders, you have to get better results than this.

I agree with all that...but I also agree with picking up Jacoby Ford and Carson Palmer off your waiver wire as fliers if you have the spots.

If you're talking fantasy, I think Palmer's going to get enough yards to make him just valuable enough to carry.

But in reality he's terrible. Not only has he been in the decline for years, but he looks like he lost A LOT off his fastball this year. His throws are lollipop's.

The penalty on INT's is so low, and since most times an INT means just another possession, only this time with their team down 7 pts, there isn't much of a downside.

Fluke game by Palmer or a NFL QB finding his groove after a long time off?

I like to think that we saw some rust falling off.

I think it's reasonable to view this as the rust falling off.  Unreasonable to expect Palmer to be elite again, but I think it was silly to think that his play in the first couple of games back, without having had any sort of training camp or extensive practice with his team, were representative of his present ability.

The Raiders now have the inside track of that division, no doubt about it -- especially if they get McFadden back performing at the level he was at the start of the season.

I have to admit that I was impressed by Palmer's play last night.  Curious to know how much of it was Palmer versus how much was the ineptness of the Chargers defense.  Most likely a mix.

AFC West is a mess.

I think I read once that Pete Carroll said Palmer had the most talent of any of the USC QB's he had.   It was always there he was just stuck in the Nati.

Palmer looks good as a fantasy QB. Better than Rivers who I have although Vincent Jackson should get the -2 for his pathetic attempt on that endzone pick.

Palmer is a top-10 QB in my mind when healthy and on his game. Not on Manning or Brees or Brady or Rogers' level, but the next tier down with Stafford, Rivers, Manning, Roofiesberger, etc..

He was calling audibles at the line for the first time this season.  That says to me it is much more about rust coming off and comfort with the offense and his teammates then anything else.
