"Big" Al Jefferson is not happy in Utah. He is not feeling the Jazz. Additionally, the Jazz are stacked at his position and recently traded for a cheaper, younger and more defensive oriented power forward, D Favors.

Is Big Al on the move?  What would it take to bring him back to Boston?

I would offer JO, Sign and trade BBD, and maybe the LAC 1st (from OKC).

He would replace BBD in the rotation at the PF-C, a definite upgrade (IMO). JO is basically worthless anyway.

Do the Jazz make this trade? Do the Celtics?  Weigh in.

KG,PP, Shaq, Ray, RR

Bench: Big Al, Green, West, Nads, Arroyo, Bradley,

If Big Al is unhappy in Utah, why would he be happy being a reserve in Boston?  And why would Utah want BBD if they are "stacked" at that position?  Also, you don't think another team could offer a better package than what you proposing?  I'm thinking 28 other teams could offer ALOT more.

If that happens, it will certainly add to Ainge's legend on this blog...if Big Al makes his way back here, will that mean we got KG for basically nothing? ;) :P

if al comes back... we basically got kg and ray for nothing. legendary trade!

as for al actually coming back... we wouldn't be able to afford him but a rondo, green, jefferson future does look very very bright.

I say something similar all the time.  If the Celtics were able to get him and Gomes back they will get all the valuable players back from the trade.
Kinda like when you go to an interview and the person hiring says your resume looks good but get some experience and come back.

I dont think he can get him with that trade though,  but isn't he a FA the year the big 3 come off the books.  I see that happening especially if we are targeting D.Howard but dont get him.  Big Al is prob. the best big available after Dwight.

I thought the same thing when i read Al wasnt happy. Al at the 5 next to KG would give us similare D to what we have with nenad but better Rb and a legit post option.

He's not going to be a reserve here.  In 2012-13 when the NBA starts back up again, KG will be retired.

I agree the package isn't enough, though.

As much as I liked AJ when he was here, I want no part of him anymore. He played for us, we were terrible, traded to Minnesota, they become terrible, gets traded to Utah to help bolster their post season push and they end up being terrible and turning into a rebuilding team. I don't want a player that seems to have losing follow him wherever he goes.
