While Green is playing well for Boston, he has quickly gone from being underrated to overrated on this board.



He has the skills to be a starter on most teams.  He has the skills to be the 6th man on this team.


But because of need and chemistry, he is more like the 8th guy on this team right now (after Baby and West).


Of course, most teams would love to have that type of talent as the 8th man.  So, this is all good for the Celtics (once they get back a starting C, the chemistry of this team is established and Rondo gets a little more healthy)

I think we need to push him to the 6th man slot, start playing him the most minutes off the bench, and see how he does closing out games.

Perk probably would've been finishing games over Davis, I don't see why Green shouldn't.

1)  Davis knows the defensive schemes better.

2)  Davis has proven something to the Celtics already.

3)  Davis is a better defender against other big men. 



Green is a better choice if the Celtics needed a SF to close a game, but they already have Pierce. 

I think he needs a chance to prove something to the Celtics.  He's a better shooter and a better player overall.  If Baby's having a good game that's one thing, but he's not the most consistent player.

A lot depends on match-ups really.  Obviously we're not gonna put Green or KG on Howard.  But I think Green at least deserves a chance to try and find that Posey role.

I think once Green is more comfortable with the system (he is getting better, but still learning), he will be finishing some games in the Posey role.  A lot of it will depend on matchups, as well as who is the hot hand.  But I think Doc would love to be able to go to Green against certain teams down the stretch.

He's an interesting player.  On one hand, I really like how he runs the floor and how he can post up and score.  On the other hand, it drives me insane that he is such a poor rebounder.  The defense thing, I think will improve with time.

I'd love to see the Celtics start running more.  Think of the following lineup: Rondo, Ray, Pierce, Green, Murphy.
Murphy to rebound, outlet, and be a trailer on the break.  Ray, trailer on the break.  Pierce and Green filling the lanes, Rondo running the break.  I'd hate to have to defend that group.

Seasons almost over, Murphy has played himself out of the lineup, its clear he has lost what he had, or he just wont be right for the playoffs, he wont make the rotation, no point playing him now. More minutes for Baby/Green in my opinion.

Offensively he looks awesome.  He has tons of moves and can score from anywhere.  I havn't been too excited about any other aspects of his game.

This thing that surprised me initially and now seems like a trend is his lack of rebounding.  Yes, offensively he is very smooth.  But at 6'9", the kids needs to grab a few more boards while he is in there.

Despite a bad game in New York, Jeff deserves 1st unit run because not only was he starter before but to see us run fast break more efficiently. Jeff has a breakaway dunk nearly every game now. I just think he should get in first to run KG before he sits. Doc would rather keep watching the team play half court which never helps Rondo. Baby should play his hero ball with Delonte at point guard.
