I've been thinking about this amongst the Melo'Drama... Given that the Bulls' achilles heel is strong wing play, did they make a mistake by not trading Noah for Melo?

Noah is a good, defensive center. No question, but they still manage to have one of the top defensive teams in the league without him (I'm not saying Kurt Thomas could totally replace what Noah brings, but he can old down the fort for the time being). Offense is what's holding them back... I honestly don't know how I would feel if I was a Bulls fan knowing management passed up on the chance to land Melo because the want Noah, but it is something I wonder about.

Personally, I thought the Bulls should've made a run at Melo rather than rush to offer Noah the extension which, for all intents & purposes, killed the chances of Melo coming to Chicago.

I thought they could've made due at the C position this year with filler and then gone after someone (Perkins) in free agency this coming offseason.  Thomas has done alright at the C position.  Obviously, Noah will be an upgrade when he comes back but the team has been performaning extremely well, especially of late.

Regardless of the no-deal, they are a team that makes me a bit nervous.

No, we shouldn't be worried about anything.

Just play the games.

I'm not scared of them in a seven game series. I think Rondo makes Rose a lot more human. It's much easier for him vs other point guards. He's still amazing ofcourse, but not AS dominant vs rondo.

I think having Delonte back would make me feel a lot more comfortable defending Rose too. Otherwise Rondo runs the risk of being the only guy that can really slow him. In the past with Lebron when Pierce would go down with foul trouble we'd have Posey, TA, Quis, Ray a decent amount of guys that could cover for him. Other than Rondo I only see Delonte (and I guess possibly bradley) being the only guys that can slow him a bit. TA actually would have been good in that role if we had him

I have been saying to my mates over the past couple of months that, yes, Bulls do scare me.

Don't get me wrong, in a 7 game series, I would back Celtics 11 times out of 10, but, that is how I feel about this years Celtics team, given that we are healthy.

I would rather play Miami/Orlando in the second round rather than Chicago....defense wins championships, and they are one of the better, if not best defensive team in the league.
