How do we know
Von's play makes Nate 100 percent expendable with Delonte coming back. The big question is, would anyone want Nate, and what could the Celts get for him. Von was great today.

How is Nate 100% expendable again?
Wafer is backing up the three. Delonte is your backup shooting guard and Nate spells Rondo.

We need Nate and the starters need rest.

Wafer's natural position is the 2.  He's undersized for a 3 and only taking those minutes because we have no other choice.

I've been saying for weeks now Wafer should be taking Nate's minutes.  Both are streaky shooters but Wafer can take it to whole, is a much better playmaker even though he's not a primary ball handler, and just in general makes better decisions than Nate.

Not that Nate has much trade value, but I'd trade him for a 3 in heartbeat.

Maybe Wafer is undersized but thats irrelevant. All that matters is if he can produce at the backup small forward. Yesterday in a big game he came up big.

Everyone knows Nate plays better off the ball. When Delonte was playing earlier in the season; the Nate and Delonte combo looked good. Lets actually see a healthy full strength roster before we rush to make changes.

i doubt wafer will get many minutes (if any at all) in the playoffs as im sure doc will wanna tighten his rotation. thats ok. but i think he can take advantage of wafer's play to give some much needed rest to allen/pierce during the season. i hope whatever the situation with pierce, they decide to sit him out for a few games, get him some much needed rest.
