Loving Wafer. Just wish his shooting stroke was a little quicker. Such as in the game against LA the other day, with the shot clock violation. He made the shot, but took almost 2 seconds to release the shot after he got past his defender.

His stroke is wet for sure, but release it a little quicker. Watch Ray for a day or two.

Go Wafer
Can't stop, Rondo!

He's very offensively talented, not only as a shooter, but a penetrator too.

If Daniels makes it back, it looks like Nate may have to worry, as Wafer may stick at the 2 (with Marquis at the 3 and West at the 1).

Von's play makes Nate 100 percent expendable with Delonte coming back. The big question is, would anyone want Nate, and what could the Celts get for him. Von was great today.

How is Nate 100% expendable again?
Wafer is backing up the three. Delonte is your backup shooting guard and Nate spells Rondo.

We need Nate and the starters need rest.

Ideal lineup would be

Rondo/West
Ray/Wafer
Pierce/Daniels
Perkins/Shaq
KG/Baby

Nate/JO/Semih and the rest of the bench would be phased out entirely for the playoffs/regular season unless its garbage time or our starters get into foul trouble.

West coming back healthy eliminates Nate, Wafer with his improving play will gradualy slide into Nates bench role, hes a better player then Nate, is a legit SG heightwise, slashes regularly unlike nate, and can hit the 3, unlike nate.

It's because he jumps so high on his shot.

Nate is one of the few traceable assets on this team. He is not a backup point guard.

I was very excited about the Wafer signing in the offseason. He's played well in his minutes, though limited, all season... But over the last couple games he has really stepped up when we've needed it most, today especially. Couple threes a fast break and a couple great defensive plays. Exactly what we need out of his minutes. Way to go Wafer.

Wafer's natural position is the 2.  He's undersized for a 3 and only taking those minutes because we have no other choice.

I've been saying for weeks now Wafer should be taking Nate's minutes.  Both are streaky shooters but Wafer can take it to whole, is a much better playmaker even though he's not a primary ball handler, and just in general makes better decisions than Nate.

Not that Nate has much trade value, but I'd trade him for a 3 in heartbeat.

Happily; Von continues to prove me wrong with great improvement over the start of year, good team play and working on defense.  Is this all because of the ray allen tutoring??  As of now a GREAT pickup by danny.  On previous questions, delonte is backup pg and sg minutes so Nate reallly has no spot BUT I don't think we can get a sf (3rd string?) for him.  Von for some sf minutes is good but I'd feel better with a 6'7-8" backup to Pierce.

I loved what Van Gundy called him- Von illa Wafer.  Cracked me up for a while.  He played great yesterday.

Wouldn't surprise me to see DWest winning both the 1 and 2 backup minutes by the time of the playoffs.

Von was solid offensively but I am still not sold on his defense.  Still he is instant offense off the bench and that is valuable.

His defense isn't consistent but I think the effort is certainly there every night. I'm hoping as he gets more minutes he will be more comfortable in the defensive sets.
