Yeah, I still don't understand this "pressure" business.  They're 1 game off the pace of the Spurs having missed Perkins the whole season, JO and DWest almost the whole season, Shaq about half the season, and Rondo for a few games.

I think Danny's big midseason upgrade will be having everyone healthy.  One could make the argument that a healthy Celtic team would be close to undefeated right now.

I'd trade Perk and Bradley for Oden.
Not with Oden out for the season.

The Celtics are too close to a title to take that risk. Maybe sometime in the future.

I think Perkins' return is only going to cause the C's chemistry to be messed up. Shaq, when healthy, is the clear starting center on this team. Big Baby has earned his minutes and I think Semih has earned a few too. That leaves JO and Perk fighting for the rest. When everyone is healthy, I see problems. Trade Perk and Bradley for Oden and hope/pray for the huge upside.

Haha. Semih's earned some minutes but Perk will fight for the minutes Erden doesn't get? That's even better than our starting center for the last 3 years is going to cause chemistry issues when he comes back.

Haha? This sounds like it could be a problem to me.

"I really don't want to answer this question because I don't want to start nothing," he said. "But, really, my spot is not up for grabs. So when I come back I will be in my spot, everybody else will just have to adjust to me after that."

FWIW Doc's said the same thing. He seems to think Perk's our starter when he's healthy, as opposed to being behind Semih in the rotation.

i think the combination of perk + the Big 4 has been too effective for the past 3 years to start switching around

The only ones who have any pressure on them on the Celtics trainers and medical staff to make sure these guys stay healthy.

If they stay healthy, no one's beating them in a 7 game series.  No one.

I agree this could be an issue.  But Oden is going to be a free agent this summer, because no one is going to give him an $8 million qualifying offer with his injury history.  If the C's want him, they could just offer him the MLE this offseason, and could either keep Perk for the rest of the season, and hope he performs in the contract year, or trade him for someone who would help in the championship run this year.  But trading him for someone who is out for the year, and then going to be a free agent makes no sense.
