Alright, I was hoping he'd come back. I doubt Doc's decision played any part in Jackson's, but I hope that we can whoop him right into retirement by the end of next year. We were reffed right out of Game 7 and he knows it - although several other factors contributed to our defeat (however, none was larger than the part played by the officials, aside from Perk's injury, perhaps). Wouldn't it be cool if we became the first team to win the title after losing Game 1 to Jackson (thus destroying his 47-0 playoff record after winning Game 1 - the accomplishment that was wrestled away from us this past year by a certain group of individuals), losing Game 3 in the 2-3-2 format, and then won Games 6 and 7 on the road? That would be epic. Too bad it'll never happen.
