LONG time avid reader, first time poster.

I listened to the that Bill Simmons podcast with J.J Redick as well...  As one of the earlier posters mentioned, I too was somewhat surprised by how much credit he was giving the celtics.  While he didn't explicitly say so, I thought that with all the praise he kept on heaping on Perk and Sheed in how they guarded Dwight, he pretty much conceded that he wasn't at all sure this Orlando team is capable of beating this celtics team.  Interesting and encouraging to hear...

For all that was said about the Magic not playing well in game one, aside from Ray and Pierce (and sheed), nobody on our team played particularly well offensively.  We have that championship swagger back and frankly, I think the Magic know that with Dwight neutralized in the post (and yes, I fully expect this to continue), it would take an almost miraculous shooting performance from the rest of the team for them to win this series.  And against this celtic defense, I just don't see that happening.  Not enough to win 4 games, anyway.

As a recent graduate the University of Maryland, I have always hated Duke, and Reddick was the worst of the worst.  However, after listening to the simmons report, I could not help but be impressed.  While I always knew he was intelligent, I was impressed with his insight into the game; and he seemed really grounded, as well.  Very grateful for the opportunities he has gotten and the opportunity to play for a team that is competing for the championship.  I would love him to see him in Green.  I think he would do well learning for a few years under Ray Allen... He is a hard worker and I think he would benefit enormously from Rondo's vision in the open court...

Redick is a guy I'd like to see in green some day.  He's really improved his handle and defense since entering the league.  He's still not great in either area, but he's acceptable.

I remember really wanting to draft him but instead we traded for Telfair that year... We also could have gotten Roy that year too but oh well; at least we got Rondo.

Become Legendary.

I never thought he would be anywhere close to as good an NBA player as he has turned into.  I thought he would just be an Eddie House type player, who did not bring anything to the table except shoot.  However, he has made himself into a decent all around player.

I didn't even think he'd be as good as Eddie House.  He has turned himself into one of the better role players in the league.  He could probably be a starting 2-guard for a lot of teams.
