Anybody read Simmons' latest column?  He actually gives Ray Allen some credit...but, of course, just spends the time gushing about how exciting it would be if he played for some other team next year.

He mentioned that thanks to Q-Rich he nows "likes watching his team again" and that because of LeBron's elbow the "once dead 2009-2010 Celtics have a small chance."

Still no credit to KG for playing real well and looking healthy, no nods to TA or Glen Davis for breaking out in the playoffs, no kudos to Paul Pierce for a killer game winner at the buzzer.  Oh, and an absolute cream-in-the-pants rant about Dwyane Wade's Game 4 performance.  So, basically, more of the same from Bill.

Yep. Standard column from Simmons:

Long-winded, forced pop cultural analogies? Check.
Cheap shot at Vince Carter? Check.
Griping about old referees? Check.
An entire paragraph devoted to the Clippers? Check.

Welcome back onto the Celtics bandwagon, Bill. Your pink hat is in the mail.

Haha!  Good one.  Simmons used to be good, but now he is completely irrelevant.  The only thing that I still remotely enjoy are his mailbags which now comes as often as the season changes, and the most entertaining things comes from the actual readers rather than his response.
Baby Jesus!

There's at least a fwew funny bits in this article.... Although none as funny as your Wade comment.  :D

One point I do need to gripe about though:

Q rich was "the one who finally woke up the 2009-10 Boston Celtics (and their fans) from their four-month nap?"

The Celtics were on as soon as the playoffs started. Even though the first half of game one was sloppy, I liked the energy. Then Wade went off, I got worried, but then the Celtics themselves put the clamps down and Detroyed the Heat, leaving Q Rich to dig up some antics.

The Celtics flipped their own switch (aside from 6 bad minutes in the early 3rd quarter). Richardson was just a goon side show... but you'd know that, Bill, if you watched the series.

You're right - he probably skipped all the games.  ::)

It's like the 9-11 Truth Movement in this thread. Except with Bill Simmons.

That's the type of analogy that would be perfect for Simmons's article.
