Rasheed is expected to play for us through the end of next season unless something absolutely catastrophic occurs; I'm sure he will kick it into gear come playoff time. I don't think that Rasheed is seriously afraid of being cut by the Celtics though I agree that Doc might need to light a fire under his ::you know what:: if he is still lallygagging going into the playoffs...
I'm sure he's actually expected to play for us for all 3 years, not just 2.
He's definitely an upgrade over PJ from 2 years ago and most definitely an upgrade over Mikki "Don't come around here no"
Moore from last year. The question is, will he be enough of an upgrade to help win the title this year.
Hehe. For those he hate Sheed's old man energy now, just wait until the 2011-12 season! Dude will be 37, and shooting 37 % from the field.
Personally, I think if they make a serious run at the title this year, Danny keeps the core of the team together through KG and Sheed's contracts then goes into a full rebuilding mode. If they get bounced early or look overmatched a lot, I would be surprised if there isn't a firesale after next year to move KG and Sheed to get financial flexibility and some assets like young players and draft picks.
Yup I totally agree, and Danny Ainge has pretty much said that this post season will greatly influence the roster going forward.
If the C's can still hold their own against the elite in the playoffs, or out right win the darn thing, might as well tweak a weakness and go for it again!
But if the C's get embarrassed (like the " BSPN experts" say they will), then it is time to start over.
