an athlete with no basketball skills--if Memphis can't use him how would he help the Celtics.
depth.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

There are better targets out there.  After Daniels signs, a guy like Bowen with his defensive ability and corner 3 would be a much better fit.

I agree.  Yet I'm sure Warrick would be somewhat useful if we don't have Baby.

I'd rather have a prime of his career Warrick than a washed up Bowen.

Seriously, at age 38, who isn't going to be able to blow by Bruce Bowen?

In 09-10 Warrick is a MUCH more capable defender than BB, and the bonus is that we won't have to do this all over again next year.

The option isn't Bowen versus Warrick though. Warrick isn't taking the minimum or the LLE in all probability.

^ good point.

it's too bad we don't have more flexibility, because someone is going to get a steal in Hakim Warrick this offseason.

LOVE IT. Sign a guy like this. Just enough years under his belt. Athletic, long .. .ready to be a good bench contributor. Doesn't he play the 3 and the 4?

That could add versatility.

Yep.  To bad the Celtics used the flexibility on Wallace.

I'd argue they should have used it on Ariza instead of Wallace, but that's a topic for another time. I have no problem with adding Bowen but don't see what that has to do with Warrick. Bowen is at best a Vet Min player at this point.

Ariza is a 3, we already have a better 3 in PP.
