Not to mention during the Finals last year when we would get outscored by 15 plus points in the first quarters of games 4 and 5 in Staples because Kobe would roam on defense leaving Rondo open.

Funny, but that strategy was much more effective after Rondo sprained his ankle...

It happened with Big Baby, and from the sound of the trade rumors these days, it looks like Rondo might have played his way out of the Celtics too.

You know why I cant stand Rondo. He's just too good. I mean, the guy is a freak athletically, is a fantastic all around player, and then what does he go and do, he has to lead the team in rebounding for a series. Now, if those arent good enough reasons to despise the guy, I dont know what is. Maybe because he is our MVP of this years playoffs? Or maybe its because the guy is still very young and already this good. All I know is he better quit being so good because as this thread states, therre are just so many reason to dislike the guy already.

TP.

It seems to me that the ongoing criticism of Rondo's game has more to do with the time of year than anything else.

I think most people are in agreement that even with Rondo's need to get a better jump shot, he is a HUGE catalyst on this team and makes everyone better - especially when KG is healthy.

It's been said many times that Rondo is the keys to the car on this team. It's fun to speculate about Ray-Rondo trades just to pass the time leading into FA, but the only reason those trades are even discussible is because Rondo has become an elite PG.

Yea we need to trade him ASAP. I hate winning 55-60 games a year. We need to get back to that 25-30 game winning pace. Gives us a lot more to complain about.

Make that 60 to 65 wins a year with Rondo.  Really annoying.

You're absolutely right. Where's Vin Baker at? Jiri Welsch, come back here! Mark Blount, you have the best hands in the league. Get rid of Rondo now, and toss KG while you're at it, we need to start reestablishing the kind of championship team those guys were running.

In all seriousness, I don't think trading him would be a smart move. For one thing, those quotes from Doc about Rondo's teammates hating him are from an article detailing his growth since his rookie year. Twisted context, much? Yes, he's inconsistent -- but he's been in the league for three years and you're blaming the guy for not playing consistent defense against an NBA finals team, while injured? That's ridiculous. Give him a break.

Ever since Rondo's two questionable fouls in the bulls series, everyone is leaping down his throat about attitude and work ethic. No one made this big of a stink before those two incidents. I could see it coming from the rest of the world, but from Boston fans, it's astounding. I can only hope these kinds of issues are coming up out of pure boredom.

Finally, hello all, I'm new to the blog.
