Ah, it appears I owe all sorts of TPs to all involved for some hearty laughs in this thread.  Much thanks to all for the amusement...

Wow...I can't believe I missed all of this in depth analysis til now!

For the record, I would indeed trade me now for whatever you can get now (at least until I hire Scott Boras as an agent and he manages to get some retroactive Pulitzers on my resume).

Simmons is ok but lets be serious, he's no Steve Weinman!  :)

even steve needs minions  ;D

But maybe if Simmons leaves ESPN, there will be an opening on Page 2 for Steve.  I can just picture it now, going to Page 2 and seeing a pic of Oscar the Grouch staring back at me from the main page.

Steve don't do it! I really think we should offer Steve the 4th year at the full MLE. Its when Roy's contract is up, wide load was just extended, and Redz has really been coming along.

Redz didn`t work enough over the offseason, imo. He`s still out of shape and has foul trouble. With 30 pounds less, he could elevate much better. He also has to learn to hit the open jumper with consistency.

It's really not fair pointing this out the week after my kids have brought home pounds of candy. :)

Then we need to be concerned first and foremost with keeping our fearless forums managing leader around...

If you'll have me, I'll stick for the vet's minimum (or a max deal  ;D) to keep the title team intact...  :D

This will all be moot when Edgar's long awaited Coup d'état comes to fruition and the new regime begins.  Judgment day is coming and we'll all have to answer to Edgar.

Let the brown nosing begin:  EDGAR's A HELL OF A GUY :-* and will make a fine dictator.  :-*  :-*  :-*

I knew that there has been some animosity in recent months between ESPN and Bill Simmons.  The hiring of Rick Reilly seemed to bring it to another level.  Anyways, reading today's Will Leitch article on WEEI.com makes it sound like things are getting worse.  Its an interesting read.

TP, Don. I was wondering what had been going on with Simmons.  :'(
