He looked tired on Sat. His endurance isn't quite where it needs to be, given that he leaves it all out on the court when he plays. Performance isn't always linear in relation to minutes played. 25 min is probably his limit to maximize his effectiveness right now. Over time that minutes played number can grow, but we don't want to break him through overuse.
This is in a nut-shell why I wouldn't at all be opposed to nabbing someone like Boogie. Boogie can come in when Rob is tired, and is much more suited to taking the beating that some NBA bigs are capable of dishing. Plus, having two genuine bigs willing to get rough with the opposition sounds beautiful!
Isn't that what Thompson already is?
In a way, but Boogie has a much better offensive skill-set with his shooting, passing and ball-handling, as well as being 20+ lbs heavier and a few inches taller
Only one or two iirc - TT has apparently grown to 6'9 barefoot while DMC is around 6'10.
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Ha, didn't know that at all. Did a quick google and it appears you're correct. Pretty sure Boogie's wingspan is 7'6" though, which is about 5 inches longer than TT's. However, somewhat offset by his inability to, well, move laterally at all

So we must have offered Drummond the starting job, right?  Guesses? Does anyone think Danny believed we could win the title with Drummond and now Fournier here? Curious what people think.
Wish everyone an easy Monday.

I think the most logical and data guided answer to the question is that yes Danny believed the C's could win a title with that team given a substantial dose of good fortune.  But Danny probably believed it was far less than likely.  NBA history tells us that teams without top 5 (or so) talent are much less likely to win a title.   Looking at the "contenders" this year it appears that this year will probably be no different as LAL, LAC, Nets, Bucks and Philly have such a player.  The outlier is Utah with talent and depth but without that top 5 type player.

The thing that intrigues me about the C's right now is that the moves they made will create an entirely new team/rotation dynamic.   Starting Rob, having new 6'11 and 7'2" guys on the bench.  Bringing in a high-usage shooter.   These changes gives the C's a completely different look and feel.  Who knows how they'll respond, but I have renewed interest and excitement in this season.   Now get Otto Porter.
