The fact that pritchard looks like he's at least a solid bench player is irrelevant.

I can't believe ainge went into this past off season with the thought that these guys we draft this season might have to be major contributers on a contending team. It's like gross misconduct or something. It's that serious people... It's just egregious.

Yep. And people still behave like Nesmith has the same value as the 2020 Memphis pick did back in 2018/2019. Or they behave as-if Langford, a guy who is not playing so frequently that it makes even the most trusting person in the world suspicious, has the value of a lottery pick.

The best is how people behave like Rob Williams, an undersized center who might one day be a solid rotational contributor/fringe starter, is worthy of a first-rounder or two.

It’s time we collectively accept what we all know to be true: The treasure trove of so-called “assets” ended up being fool’s gold because we drafted poorly and had been unable to make trades (the IT trade ruined Danny’s rep throughout the league, in case you’re one of those naive fellas wondering why we saw Kyrie, Horford and Hayward walk on us).

Before the entire rest of the league notices, we should get whatever we can for Langford, Nesmith, G. Williams, R. Williams and Edwards. Salvage what we can. Contributing veterans, the kind of bench players we had in 2008, is probably the only hope because nobody is giving us Barnes or Collins for these pretenders...

These are just total strawmen. Nobody values Timelord or Langford like that, they just don't share the belief that they're garbage and worth nothing. Which is a pretty reasonable belief, given we know that the two Williams' at least are already able to contribute at this level, and Nesmith will likely be able to as well.

How are you privy to Ainge's thought process? He probably thought Teague would be a solid bench vet and that TT wouldn't get a hamstring issue first thing. He probably didn't foresee our best player and a young role player getting COVID, Kemba taking a loooong time to return to normal or Smart tearing his calf.

1st off you missed the point completely. And never mind the fact that getting kemba in the 1st place was a mistake, but(and this has to do with my original point) knowing there was a chance kemba might not be right and simultaneously handled the hayward thing poorly leaves him to scrape the bottom of the barrel and pick up teague. The move just screamed of desperation.

The Thompson injury is not ainge's fault but maybe if we had one or two less carson edwards on the bench we'd have room for guys that can play.

Has anyone thought the problem might be acclimating Brown into his new role of being a star. This changes the offense quite a bit than what we have seen in the past. It was stated last week that Tatum and Brown need to start getting their teamates the ball more in better situations. Hayward was used in this role and the J's need to adjust to doing this now. Losing Hayward was not good for the flow of the offense. Kemba has never been a big assist guy, so where do we turn to get the flow started again?
