Wow, Minnesota started Kyle Anderson at center against Jokic and only lost by 3pts in a nailbiter. Jaden McDaniels at PF. Three guards. Ant, Conley, NAW.

No Gobert. No Towns. No Naz Reid. Against Jokic.

Jokic 35pts 16reb

i didn't watch the game, but i noticed that Jokic only had 2 assists. so i'm wondering if he just decided to feast on the matchups rather than his usual passing display? despite the loss, is that the best strategy for beating denver? bait him into high scoring rather than picking up assists? idk

I also didn't watch, but had checked the score and saw that Denver was up big at one point.  The box score says they had a 15 point halftime lead, which was cut to three points.  Was this an example of Denver simply losing focus, like the Celts often do?  I see they had 17 turnovers.

I watched most of the third quarter. A ton of turnovers and missed some make able shots. Felt like a game they got up big then lost focus. It happens to every team now and then. Still pulled it out.

76ers lost tonight, falling to 8th seed.

Really need them to avoid the 8th seed. Hope they get the 6th seed, lose both play-in games or clinch the 7th seed.

Is this your new boogeyman team since you realized the lakers were what they were 65 games in?

Sparz, are you still in favour of trading JB and firing Joe?

Absolutely, esp JB missing some of those critical FTs tonight, but being an overall 71% free-throw shooter with that kind of money is also insane.

Self-explanatory with Joe. C's are just winning in spite of him

The Lakers did curbstomp the Hawks last night.

The 76ers were rolling when they had a healthy Embiid though, and their coaching improved. Embiid may be coming back right in time for the playoffs is the concern.

And after tonight's game against the Bucks, it's still concerning that the Celtics can't put these elite teams away for good. In the playoffs, you can't have those type of games or it'll bite you.

How much stock do we put in a late March matchup when seeding etc is largely determined already?
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

Why do you care so much about his money? Are you paying him? Who cares.  The free throws are becoming a problem for sure but he also nailed 2 clutch ones. Weird reason.

Grayson Allen has 7 games with 8+ threes this season.

The most ever by a player not named Steph, Klay, Harden or Dame.

FG% 50.8%
3PT% 48.3%
FT% 88.7%

TS% 69.8%

He takes two thirds of his shots from three. That is a crazy TS%.

Watching people desperately flail to find things to worry or complain about during a historically good Celtics season has become kind of funny. Obviously anything can happen in the playoffs and that is all that will ultimately matter but it is still funny right now. Just try to enjoy it if you are going to bother watching its historically good basketball.

I have no problem with people being critical of the team for legit reasons.  It's the contrived, parroted from sports radio hot-takes that are bothersome.

The Celtics have the best record, they have been the best team all season.  I understand that there is a certain level of insecurity that comes with being a Boston sports fan, maybe all fans.  But even though the Celtics have been the best so far, and are still the favorite to win the title, you can't expect that the Celtics are going to win easily against other good teams, whether in a regular season game or a playoff series.

MIL (for example) is a good team.  Lillard is figuring it out, Middleton appears to have stabilized, and Giannis is still a dominant player.  Doc knows what it takes and the Bucks appear to be listening to him so far.  The Celtics are going to have to play well to beat them.  But if the Celtics do play well, they can and will be expected to beat the Bucks.

The Celtics are favored to win the title and have a very talented team, but that doesn't mean it is going to be easy.  It is going to be a grind

I agree. Was not trying to say there is no fair criticisms of the team.

I am going to keep calling out this myth whenever I see. It is has become totally baffling to me how often I read it. The bucks are 12-11 since Rivers took over. They were 30-13 under Griffin. Its objectively a hilarious thing that people keep saying. Doc is so good with the media that they ignore his flaws, but it usually doesn't extend to fans.

I agree with you that they are still a dangerous team, but it is absolutely nothing to do with Rivers.
