Zion is just destroying Jonathan Isaac.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Brandon Ingram just went down with what looked like a hyperextended left knee. He was able,to put a little weight on it as he was helped off the floor. This is a big blow for the Pels if he’s out for an extended period.

I feel like they might play almost as well without Ingram as they do with him. More touches for Zion and McCollum. More minutes for hard working glue guys like Trey Murphy III, Herbert Jones, Dyson Daniels. More hustle, more effort plays. Strong shooters.

Folks keep talking about the numbers Webanyama is putting up  (31pts, 16rebs, 5ast, 3blks tonight) but no one talks about the 7TO’s, the 3-12 shooting from 3pt, the 6-10 from the FT line or the fact that the Spurs keep losing.

the Spurs are 8.5 points per 100 possessions better when Wenby is on the floor.  They are not losing because of him, they are losing because they are a terrible team outside of him.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Heat get smoked again. They do not look like a team that will do much in the playoffs. Last year was a fluke IMO.

Didn't seem like a fluke beating #1-seeded 50% Giannis, Thibs' Knicks, and the C's  :-X

Though they did lose Gabe Vincent, Max Strus, and Kyle Lowry

I wouldn't sleep on Houston. Only 2 back of the Warriors now for the 10 seed. 9-1 in their last 10 and winners of 7 straight, and they do have a home head-to-head game left vs Golden State too

I saw someone elsewhere note that they played the bottom 3 teams 5 times in those last 10 games. So the win streak is not quite as impressive as it first seems.

Maybe, but not like the Warriors are really taking care of business either on their end.

The Jazz were 26-26 pre-deadline with a positive point differential and are 3-16 with a -9.63 differential since the deadline.

Amazing swing.

Quote
The Jazz traded three rotation players for late first, early second round picks and have barely played Lauri Markkanen since the deadline (and Markkanen hasn't played very well since then either).

Fontecchio to DET who was their only SF. The rest of the team is small guards and big guys.

Olynyk who was their 6th man. I thought Olynyk was a big part of their success. Having two seven footers (Markkanen) who can shoot like that was a major weapon and then Kessler as a defensive option. I don't think John Collins has worked out for them.

I am not sure who the 3rd guy is. Oh, Agbaji. He never made much of an impression on me. I don't see him as much of a swing factor. The other two were significant losses though.

Markkanen has only played 2 of the last 10 games. He is listed as day to day. It looks like he was playing regularly before that.

Quote
The reason for this is that the Jazz owe a top 10 protected pick to OKC and would like to keep that pick.

Tanking for the 9th pick in one of the worst drafts of all time... I don't know.

Good game on NBA TV between the Thunder and Bucs. Go OKC!
