There is nobody I am absolutely against bringing back.

(1) Kyrie Irving = I don't like him. I don't like watching his teams play. It would hurt to lose such a talented without getting anything in return though. So I'd like to see him re-signed (and hopefully traded further down the road).

(2) Rozier = If Kyrie leaves, I want Rozier back. If Kyrie stays, I do not want Rozier back.

(3) Theis = Not doing enough as a backup big man. Celtics need more of a paint presence. Or more offense. One or the other. Either way, not Theis.

(4) Morris = lukewarm on Morris. Frustrating player to watch. Selfish offensive player. Good man defender so so team defender. Lackluster rebounder. I would love to see him go but if Ainge has to gut the team to get Anthony Davis, then retaining Morris is likely to be the best option out there. No AD, no Morris.

........

It is more how the AD and Kyrie dominos fall that will decide who I want back or not want back.

Theis is the only one I am ready to move on from regardless of Kyrie and AD.

Oh and Yabusele. I forgot all about him. I liked his talent but he hasn't progressed enough this year to justify keeping him. Time to jettison him and free up a roster spot.

Why does rozier need to be an option.

He should not under zero circumstances, be back.

If team is going to remain mostly intact i wiuld be very ok with Hayward being traded as well.

Dump Kyrie and keep our first round picks unless we can get a good deal for Davis.

I voted Terry, regardless of whether we keep Kyrie or not, and it seems I'm not alone.

Terry is purely an athlete who can barely dribble, can't get his own shot, and does not have good court vision.  Basically he's a non Point Guard who plays Point Guard.  And he has too many stupid defensive decisions.  He is however a good rebounder from that position.. that's it in my opinion.

As others have stated, if there is a deal for Davis and Davis wants Kyrie here, then I'm good with keeping Kyrie.

Hayward would be close to the top of my list. He was just lost out there this year. I am hoping he can turn it around. But if they can move his contract, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Kyrie does not fit the system in Boston. He does not play defense

Rozier is liability.

If they keep Kyrie they have to get AD. I do not want him here without another superstar to go with him.

The team looks like it was molded to the Stevens' style of play. And I don't think that style is conducive to a championship. It is not the mold of traditional Celtics championship teams, which had more balance. The Celtics have pieces missing, especially up front. And they lack backcourt scoring after Irving.

I agree with a lot of this. Regarding Theis there are some games where he plays really well.  Maybe it has to do with the matchup more than anything.

Talent usually trumps anything else in this league so keeping Irving if we get Davis is option A.  If Irving is your 2nd option rather than main guy, I think everything else will fall into place.

I kind of echo what everyone has already posted here:

1) Kyrie cannot be the only superstar here if he stays.
2) Hayward doesn’t fit with Boston as they seem more up tempo I’d move him(Cavs,Mavs)
3) Get AD
4) “Think we will also obtain another good player via trade”
5) Rozier will either be let go or will find some Wayne to trade him (Mavs,Suns)

I “want” regardless if Kyrie stays or goes for Hayward to be gone. I’m not saying Hayward is trash or damages goods. I think he will return to form in some way shape or fashion but he just doesn’t fit anymore after Kyrie killed him.

If Kyrie goes.... we are in a little trouble, but I say we just try and look entertaining from there on out. Keep the young group with Rozier (sorry guys) and looks for a big that fits along side Al which seems impossible to find the right fit if it’s not AD.

ALL IN ALL we really do need a long term Davis. He will completely
Change the dynamic of the team. Unfortunately for this to happen Kyrie must stay... Is Kyrie worth having if you’re getting Davis? 🤷🏽‍♂️

This time of year it is just a popularity contest.

I will remain on the "build a frontcourt" train.

Freak
Lopez
Miroctic
Ilyasova

Beyond the freak, none of these guys are stars, but they just shut the Celtics down. "Small ball"? I guess that didn't work.

I suppose Irving is gone, but, we can still hope.

Rozier - is probably gone as Ainge doesn't pay back up PG's. His option is $4.3M?

Morris - will get paid very well somewhere.

Baynes - is hurt a lot and the coach doesn't play him much in playoff games...right? Option is $5.4M

Hayward - they are committed to Hayward for another 2 years. I will just say this about him. He checked out when they needed him. The Celtics have "hung in" with Gordon I suppose he has to figure out how to hang in with the Celtics.

Tatum - Brown - Hayward - Smart - Horford

This moment in NBA history is tough. Raps and Bucks in the East and GSW and Rox in the west.

The Davis thing looks like a long shot, but, if Ainge can, he will trade the team for a great center.

I voted Rozier and Yabu, but I’m all-in on an AD trade and wouldn’t blink at trading Tatum.

My keepers are Kyrie, Horford, Brown, Hayward. Everyone else is disposable.

This is where my head is at also.

I've waffled so much on Morris.  I think I'm back on the "keep him" train right now.
