His in-game adjustments have been bad for as long as I can remember
I thought his in game adjustments were awesome back in the IT days. He's just become so stuck in his mindset of letting the law of averages balance things out now that he fails to make adjustments.

Perhaps his adjustments were just giving the ball to a small guy with a chip on his shoulder and asking everyone else to get out of the way.
That was sure as hell the correct move lol, but shouldn't we be doing even better with a supposedly better PG?

we do?

Basically they let George Hill score 9 of the 11 points he had in the 3rd quarter in the last 4 mins of the quarter. That was the run that broke us, and a lot of us called it before it was happening.

Here's the last 4 mins play by play. After the timeout Kyrie made a 3 to make the score 82-81 in our favor. Then we sent Ilyasova to the line for 2, then Gordon missed a floater and Middleton got a transition 3 at the other end, then Gordon missed a 3 and Hill got a 3 at the other end, then he makes 1 of 2 from the line, Jaylen missed a 3, then Hill got a 3 at the other end, then he dunks the ball, then the score is 93-82 in their favor. We never caught up after that and they blew the lead out to 15+ points early in the 4th before we started getting the makeup calls (to be fair to us we also attacked the rim more in that 4th quarter than we did the entire rest of the game).

0 End of the 3rd Quarter 95 - 87

Other than the free throw disparity in the first 3 quarters, the Bucks were kept in it by Connaughton's 11 pts in the first half, otherwise we would have led by double digits.  And then Hill broke us in the 3rd.

My feeling after this one:

The C’s have got to get more out of Hayward and Tatum if Giannis is going to be sent to shoot 15+ FTs per game. The offense is getting exposed for its inconsistency. I don’t think crying about the refs will do any good in this series. Giannis is the anointed second coming and he will continue to be treated as such. The Bucks are really good regardless of that.

Tonight was embarrassing. 2nd game in a row we get crushed in the 3rd quarter.

And similarly to game 2, we actually weren't that bad in the 1st half. Jaylen, Morris and Brown were killing it and Kyrie was doing his thing.

Milwaukee right now just has the ability to kick it up a notch, make adjustments and the Celts don't.

They smother us on defense and kill us on offense by attacking the basket.

As I much as I want to crucify Brad, I am really not sure I can. The players know what they need to do because they already did it in the 1st round and in game 1 of the 2nd round.

They double teamed Giannis, shared the ball, didn't just settle for outside shots and played like a team. The team wasn't just running through one player.

I feel like we are at the point where the players shouldn't need the coach to hold them by the hand.

Kyrie is trying WAAYYY too hard to be the hero. The Bucks have dominated him in the last 2 games.

For whatever reason, after becoming a big part of our victory in game 4 vs Indy and in game 1 vs the Bucks, Hayward has disappeared again. We're back to the regular season all over again. Hayward is our x-factor and the guy we need to get hot in order for us to play at a higher level.

I said this after game 2 and will say it again. Brad should adjust the starting lineup. Replace Tatum with Hayward, play Al at power forward and put Baynes back in the lineup. Baynes also needs to be a bigger part of our team. Look at how pivotal Brook Lopez has become for Milwaukee. We need his size. Let Morris and Tatum come off the bench.

The problem with starting Morris (and Tatum to a lesser extent) is they run hot and cold. If you play them off the bench, I feel like you're playing to their strengths a bit more. We also need to get more physical. Don't be afraid to start using a little muscle, a forearm here and an elbow there. I am not talking about starting a brawl but sometimes you just need to physically intimidate your opponent.

The only encouraging thing in last 2 games is that Jaylen Brown has shown huge signs of improvement.

Anyway, I'm still sticking with my Celts in 6 prediction (with great hesitation.)

Same. I think we got it in us. Backs to the wall in Game 4. They got frustrated with the officiating tonight and let the game get away from us in the 3rd when Brown got those 2 quick fouls and Tatum got T'd up. We've competed with the Bucks but we failed to stop 2 runs that cost us both games. Can't afford any slip ups when playing a team like this. But I think we can do it. I've been called foolishly optimistic before though

Bottom line is Celtics are soft. Take after their coach.

The only way you get any toughness is if you get Smart back.

If you see the refs calling the game tight as they did then you have to put your head down and attack the basket.

Yup.

Basketball is naturally a physical game. As a result, it's time for the guys to start using their muscle and be aggressive. Let the other team know "you're going to have to kill us in order to eliminate us."

I think it's also important to mention how porous our defense has been. George Hill getting to the basket the way he did in the   2nd half was inexcusable. Defense is about focus and hustle. Right now the Celts aren't focused and they're not hustling.

That at some point the lesser team ran out of steam and the better team finally broke the opponent.

Brown and Rozier combined for 45 minutes.  How do the only two guys that are +'s in the +/- only play 45 minutes?

I guess we're just going to shelve the guys who beat this exact same team last year. SMH

I'm guessing you didn't watch the game? Brown got in foul trouble and had to sit most of the 4th otherwise he'd have played more than 31 minutes.

Also it's not the exact same team, they did add a few more shooters and got a new coach.

When the going gets tough... This board gets going  ;D ;D

A road win and we're heading to the finals.. A home loss and we need to tear the building down and start over. Goodness... If we lose the series it's probably because Milwaukee have been the best team in the East all year. It might actually be a good reality check for these guys. If we win, it's because these guys have realised their potential.
