Ben Simmons disses 76er fans who booed him

Ben Simmons addressed Philadelphia 76ers fans after he was booed following their 111-102 loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

Simmons was booed after missing 2 free throws in the 3rd quarter.

"If you’re going to boo, then stay on that side. That’s how I feel. If you’re a Sixers fan and you’re going to boo, stay on that side," said Simmons, who admitted that he played poorly due to overthinking.

Jimmy Butler added that there was a simple way for the Sixers to stop the boos.

"They want to see us win — I want to see us win, too. In the end, I think we just gotta do better. I guarantee if we’re winning, they’re not booing, so that’s the way to change it. Let’s just go out there and win on Monday.”

Lol, Simmons is so incredibly weak. Makes me giggle seeing him flounder when it counts.

Yeah, continues to fail to be able to do a basic skill that is required for this sport, yet has the audacity to make these kinds of remarks about people being upset about it. Dude is entitled and will never reach that next level with his character. I've seen a lot of Philly fans starting to sour on him.

I didn't see the game, but the +/- indicates that Philly was much worse with him on the floor in game 1 - much like how Philly was significantly worse throughout the entire series against the Celtics in last year's playoffs while he was on the court.  This was predictable.  I continue to see Simmons as highly overrated and mentally weak.

I had to scoff when he made the remark about having "many rings" around his fingers in the future.  You can't build a team around Simmons.

When I read that he had stopped going to his classes at LSU, I knew that he was a loser.  Yes, he was going to the NBA, and clearly he did not need an education (for financial purposes).  But it screams entitlement and a lack of appreciation for his god given talent of being good at playing with an orange ball, not recognizing how much others have to struggle to put themselves through college with or without a scholarship. 

He's had it extremely easy and it shows.  He folds every time he's faced with adversity.

Booing is kind of lame though, considering it was a relatively close game and it was happening in the middle as well. Even 83-72

Simmons game has a lot of flaws and he did not deliver in the playoffs.   He deserved the boos, but in Philly you get them deserve or not.
