So I couldn't help but notice how pumped up Kyrie was on the sidelines in the 4th quarter last night.  The last 2 games he's actually had help, especially from Gordo, Tatum and Al, and in the 4th after we had pretty much locked up the game (and even before), I noticed he was extremely, extremely enthusiastic on the sidelines.  I wouldn't expect him to be indifferent even if he did plan to leave, but that was my favorite thing about the W last night.  It looked to me like he really wants this to work.

Did anyone else notice this?  I read into things all the time and like to speculate on this board, it's fun, but he really seemed to be enjoying himself like a child almost.  It made me think he's looking for a reason to stay, not looking for an excuse to justify leaving.  Thoughts?  Am I crazy?
Kyrie has been FAR more supportive of his teammates this season than a lot of people think, but yeah... last night was another example of him being an excellent teammate and leader.

Also, just to add to the importance of Hayward starting to emerge into the talent we expected, is the emergence of Tatum.

After a somewhat disappointing season, I love how Tatum has picked up his aggressiveness and is now attacking the rim and playing inside the perimeter. It's a sign of his offensive game maturing.

The Celts were phenomenal last night in transition. It seemed like they were constantly on the go as opposed to being rather stagnant.

Is this the Gordon Hayward of Utah we were looking for?

If it is, it's exciting. Maybe it's time to slide him back to SF in the starting lineup.

True, but he is getting paid max money so he should be starting rather than coming off the bench

I'm personally OK with Hayward continuing his bench role - as long as he continues to get 30+ minutes.

This will place a TON of pressure on our opponents - they'll get a continual dose of Kyrie-Tatum-GH-JB offensively - with an occassional showing from Big Al and Morris.

That is going to be TOUGH on our opponents.

Add in GH's VAST skill-set - decent defender, rebounder and facilitator - and it will be a continual onslaught.

I love it.

Keep Kyrie happy.

Right now, I bet Kyrie is DREAMING about not only our run THIS YEAR - into June - but he is ALSO thinking about a Utah Gordon Hayward in BOS next season. It would be foolish for him to leave us.

His salary is a sunk cost and irrelevant to the decision about whether he should come off the bench or not.

The question is whether our team wins more often with him off the bench, or not.

I have preached this all season long..... the strength of the Celtics is the depth at wing, so why dont you just overpower the opponent with a steady barrage of wing play. The way to do that is to have GH sub-in when the opponents top tier players take a break. Have him feast off the other team's scrub substitute. If the other team adjusts and refuses to substitute then bring GH in to feast off their tired first tier wings.

Brad has to coach this team outside the box.

There should be no stigma attached to not starting the game because every player sits eventually, so it is not a matter of whether you sit to start the game it is a matter of what you contribute when your number is called.

He's hot and cold just like this Celtics team. Let's see how ecstatic he is if they lose in early in the playoffs.

And imagine if Ainge can acquire an Anthony Davis who will sign here long-term?

Love the image by the way

It's a fair point. Certainly winning makes things a lot easier

Did anyone else notice this?  I read into things all the time and like to speculate on this board, it's fun, but he really seemed to be enjoying himself like a child almost.  It made me think he's looking for a reason to stay, not looking for an excuse to justify leaving.  Thoughts?  Am I crazy?

Of course he was ecstatic - Kyrie is bipolar.

I think as long as the Celts don't lose in the 1st round of the playoffs, Kyrie will stay.

............should anyone associated with the team be ecstatic if the team gets eliminated early?

For all of the criticism of Kyrie being selfish or things of that nature, he seems like he's as excited as anyone on the team to celebrate someone else's success. If he just didn't say weird things to the media, and all we had to go on was his on-court demeanor, we'd be talking about he's always the first one to help a teammate up off the floor, how much more he's hustling this season, and how excited he is for his teammates.
