Coming into the tournament, Barrett was slotted as the #3 pick in most of the mock drafts. Does his poor performance cause him to drop in the draft?

- Duke lost three games with Zion Williamson in the lineup this year. RJ Barrett went ***0-for-9*** in the final minute of those three games. The rest of the team had three total shots. Zion had one.
- While Barrett scored 21 points vs Mich St, he had 7 turnovers
- FG % has been around 45% for the season
- FT % has been around 66%

What is his floor? His ceiling?

I have him as the next Alan Wiggins

His decision making hasn’t looked great - bulls his way into traffic too much against pressure and forces his shot.

Also, the Duke offensive scheme today seemed designed for only very simple, very obvious actions. Not sure who that is on, but they telegraphed what they were doing and forced things again and again.  Whole team.

I'm just happy Duke lost. ;D

Must suck to be an NBA team who spent this season trying to tank.

I still think he's a fairly elite prospect, but I think some people have rightfully cooled on him. He still put up 23/7/4 on the season

The guy whose stock is at a very low level right now should be Reddish. Super inefficient and didn't seem to do much when he wasn't scoring

Barrett is a stud.

He had to make some pretty big adjustment this past season at duke but make great strides in them. He became a much bwtter playmaker and distributor.

He is already a very good scorer and defender and being able to create will be the icing on the cake.

Knicks very interested in the Texas Tech guard, Jarrett Culver. If they land 3rd pick, could see them selecting him over Barrett.

Or trading down for him.

Worse than missing an open 3 and a free throw, he completely blew the inbounds defense at the end and cost Duke any chance to get the ball back. NBA teams won't have much patience for that unless he's very special on the other end. I could see him being like a Tim Hardaway Jr kind of player, maybe a couple ticks better than that, but probably not a great one.

Barrett is an elite athlete, who reminds me of Andrew Wiggins. Not a fan of his shooting mechanics, and he is a disaster at the end of close games, where he can't make a shot. He was a lock to miss the front end of the 1 and 1 at the end of yesterday's game. I totally blame Coach K for losing that game. There was no excuse for putting the ball in Barrett's hands to try to win the game with under 30 seconds left.

And as fairweatherfan pointed out, he was also the defender who blew the assignment that ended the game. I think I recall Barrett was projected to be the #1 pick before the season began. I feel like there will be a team that feels pressure to pick him in the top 5, and will regret the decision after 3 seasons.

Both Wiggins and Barrett came in as the #1 prospect and both were outplayed and overshadowed by their teammate.  Barrett does have a better overall skillset.
