For a single season I'd rather have kemba, but Kyrie is the better long term value.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

makes no sense

Irving could be injury prone for the rest of his career ....  not the healthiest player

Kemba has been pretty healthy even though he crashes into other players etc. on a regular basis

Kemba has also never had decent support.

Even Irving has admitted several times that Kemba needs to be trapped

aaahh...every player that Kyrie guards needs to be trapped

Another thing that's hysterical is anyone thinking his rebounds, assists, steals and blocks stats actually mean anything.

One more funny thing...Wyc announcing his support for Brad sucked the last drop of remaining oxygen in this team.

Oh I forgot too...your boy Porzingis just pulled a Kobe...or should I say a mamba.

And what good is Davis if we never deviate from the high post and use that nonsensical switching nonsense?

Good times ahead....

Rofl. Yeah, why even measure stats, right? They can just be discounted when they don't mean anything ::)

I'm very interested to hear your fact-based dismissal of Kyrie's numbers

Kemba is one of my favorite guards.  But ...... i see Kyrie is trying to be a team guy and yet remain a world known star sports figure .  Its a fine line to walk for any NBA player .  I think he is trying to fit in with the Celtics .  Just a huge difference from playing for LeBron where divaness is encouraged and championed .  He is trying to return from the .darkside .  There are alot more issues with Bostons team i find worse than the constant blaming Kyrie for letdowns games.

Im for keeping Kyrie if all possible .

Kemba would be a fine 2nd choice, but he's clearly the 2nd choice here.  Kyrie is both better and younger.

I suspect we may be seeing what ends up as Kemba's peak season, whereas I suspect we have yet to see Kyrie's peak season.

Well...this team's entire offense stagnates and has a deep chemistry problem so his assists are meaningless.

He has no defense so his steals ratio is the same

And if you're gonna depend on his rebounding and blocks, then you would be better off a knicks fan.

Yall gonna have to forgive me, but I just don't see the point in everyone constantly talking about trades for shooters...like that will solve this teams problems.

I guess this organization has driven everyone insane.

Our offense tonight was so freeflowing and great tonight without Kyrie... oh wait, no it wasn't. It just got worse, which is what every statistic available said would happen. The whole defense thing is just an agenda with you. It doesn't even make any sense because he is probably only the 4th worst defender on the team, maybe tied with Hayward. Won't criticize your golden boy Rozier for being a terrible defender, will you?

No, Kyrie is the only player I criticize because he's the only one saying it's his team, and what he needs to teach people all the time.

And they use that switching defense to stop 3's, but are worse at THAT than rebounding...which is still hilarious because they're all parked out at the perimeter.

If you think that's a thing with me then... yeah it is

You actually thought they looked superior to Indy?

A better question for this team is can it beat IT, AB, Crowder, Jerebko and Olynik.

And Zeller :)

Pretty sure it could considering our talent now is significantly better than that group.

I don't understand why the 2013-2016 crew keeps getting brought up. Let it go.

From what I've seen, it looks like Kemba has continuously improved over the years.

But, Kyrie is the more proven commodity.

Plus, for the Celts it's a moot point as they have Kyrie's bird rights but not Kemba's.
