unreal.  still choosing to toss up bricks from 3

been saying it all season long.  this team's only offensive philosophy is "live by the 3, die by the 3".   each of our losses this year have been games where we've been dying from the 3 and yet continue to chuck 3's up with reckless abandon.

god I hate this type of offensive basketball.

is any certain coach trying to correct this and implement another strategy??
not on this team.

if that's the only type of players we had on the team (no drivers or post players) or we had a load of good shooters, I could understand a 3 being that involved in the offensive scheme but that's not the roster we have.

Ahh, coming in late, but looks like same old, same old, huh? Just highlighting some more of that masterful Brad Stevens gameplan of chucking jumper after jumper due to being too timid to hold his guys accountable and instill some discipline and character in this team.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Pop truly is a visionary. The metrics say that teams should only take 3 pointers and lay-ups, so what does he do? He sets up an offense where his players get open shots all day long because teams have stopped guarding the mid-range. Once those shots start dropping (and they should - they are easy shots), it opens up those 3-pointers and lay-ups.

you seem to be of the opinion that shooting volumes of 3's is against Brad's gameplan. I don't think that's the case thus the lack of effort by the coaching staff to stem the tide of 3's.

Just keep on jacking the dumb threes, guys. Not like softy Brad is going to do anything to stop you or hold you accountable 🙄

yup, he sees the obvious and goes with it.  why turn down an easier 2 point shot that goes unguarded and is made at a higher rate for a more difficult 3 point shot that will have a defender closing out on the shooter.   I'll take an easy 2 over a bricked 3 any day

Brad wants this offense. Just keep shooting 3s and analytics will take care of the rest. The Spurs are playing the game on the court not on paper.
