I wouldn't guarantee he would be a malcontent, but he does still have potential to actually positively impact a game.  He still has potential to put the ball in the hoop at a high level.  Won't happen every day, but even if he changes just 1 game from a L to a W that could be huge, and there is almost no one else available that could do that.
