I agree with Pierce only because it seems like he truly doesn’t want to be in Boston long term, while Tatum probably does.

Pierce is spot on and in the end I think Ainge will NOT trade Tatum.

If Kyrie leaves, go after Middleton in a sign and trade using Horford's contract.

Middleton/Hayward/Tatum would be a very good trio.

Use the MLE on a good center and use the draft picks as trade bait to pick up another player.

Ainge may end up re-signing Rozier, but oh well.

Jaylen is the 6th man off the bench.

I want to agree with Paul, but feel I haven't seen enough from Tatum to believe you can build a championship team around him.

What would be the benefit to Milwaukee in this deal? Why would they want to swap Middleton for Horford when they already have Lopez as their big?

If I recall - KG wasn't particularly sold on BOS, either...someone correct me if I'm wrong.

But as Danny worked his skills he constructed a Championship-caliber team around Pierce. We contended for several years after that even though the window was steadily closing with KG's and Ray's age.

We are on the cusp of some great things with this team. It certainly doesn't seem like it NOW but we must be patient.

Lopez is also a free agent this summer. Horford is much better than Lopez and gives Milwaukee veteran leadership.

Truth be told, I've always felt Lopez is kind of a stiff.

Horford also gives Milwaukee an expiring contract so they could then focus on offering Giannis a monster extension in the summer of 2020 and perhaps have enough cap space for another max contract.

That's why I was surprised the Bucks gave Bledsoe that extension. What were they thinking?

Tatum just doesn't make many mistakes. He may miss some bunnies, and he may miss some open threes, but he's already a better version of Otto Porter, with several developing go-to moves that Porter never had.

One more off-season of shooting drills. More playing time with Morris/Theis. More shots with Rozier/Morris gone.

I wonder if danny can still get Davis without giving up Tatum....I mean he could still put together the best package with Tatum not included.

if it was down to Brown/Tatum I would rather keep Tatum as I think his ceiling is much higher.
