Again, KyMe is a bad fit for a Stevens system...that's the elephant in the room. KyMe will be good in NY.

This is like putting Barry Sanders in an offense run by Tom Brady.

That rotating defensive scheme is the elephant in the room, really.

It's a gimmic and used to be only used as an adjustment to give a team a different look from time to time.

I have no idea why he felt that would work fulltime in the NBA.

You have to have different schemes to fall back on, and that's why teams go on runs because they find an adjustment. Brad has nothing else to adjust to.

From day 1 Brad had tunnel vision with it and never changed. It's so easy to anticipate that even scrubs are now exploiting it.

Personally I don't like our defense. I'm not about all the switching...it makes you a lazy defender and it takes away your pride in being a defensive player or team.

Nobody actually knows if Kyrie is leaving, perhaps except for Kyrie.

He is certainly handling himself like a guy who has decided to go elsewhere in a few months.

The behind the scenes stories in the wake of that, if it does happen, will be fascinating.

Either Kyrie is gone or Brad Stevens steps down (gets fired) after the season is over.

Pretty much what this is leading up to, unless these guys can get their act together.

I am OK with Kyrie leaving, and not trading for Davis.

Try and move up for Ja Morant and trade for a brute center (Drummond?)

Morant
Brown
Hayward
Tatum
Drummond

Or maybe Stevens is a bad fit for Kyrie.

Irving isn't wrong, CBS is the coach and CBS was a big part of the reason why the team got blown out last night.

But who would you trade to get Drummond? Detroit would probably ask for a lot.

It's celticsstrong - where posters think the Knicks are going to trade a top 5 pick for Kyrie even though they can sign him. I'm guessing the proposal is a sign & trade Rozier + Yabu
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

I'm Team Stevens.

Keep Smart, Horford, Tatum, Hayward.

Anybody else can go.

The Celts may have as many as 3 1st round draft picks.

Great way to replenish the back end of the roster.  Definitely need to add some veterans though.

Definitely would like to see Rozier and Morris gone.  Yabu is a waste of a roster spot IMO.

Baynes I can take or leave.  Same with Semi, Wanamaker, Theis.  Williams is a project, which is fine.

CBS is a very good

"Break and open" when you need to build a team from ground up type of coach

or for a group of misfits

I bet he would do a great job with a team like Hornets or even Magic and help them make the playoffs

not on a team like this

Rivers would be better
