Over the last month he has been on an absolute tear. Averaging 22PPG, 16RPG, 2.2SPG and 2BPG, shooting 67% from the field and 68% from the line. He's also only averaging 1.5 turnovers a game over the stretch, and is averaging 3.6FPG.

Over the 11 game stretch over the last month with Drummond (he missed 3 games in late Jan) the Pistons are 7-4, and are currently up on the Pacers in large thanks to his 22 point 14 rebound effort through the first 3 quarters.

Granted, his struggles against Embiid are noteworthy. However, I think this season that narrative has been inflated by his BS ejection thanks to a big flop.

He's only 25, and I've been a fan of him for a while, and he's a New England guy ;) Hopefully he can keep improving from the free throw line and on defence, and become one of the elite bigs in the league. Always wanted him to play for us

I liked seeing his passing improve last year. He posted the first positive assist to turnover ratio of his career at 3.0apg to 2.6 turnovers per game.

They are not using him as much as a passer this season under the new coach which is disappointing because it was an important part of his offensive game that he needed he grow. I am not sure Dwyane Casey understands how valuable it is to have a center who can the pass the ball. He failed to develop his bigs' passing in Toronto too. Only 1.2apg versus 2.3 turnovers a game this year (1.1:1.8 for his career).

I think Drummond would be an ideal center if the team is continuing to look at having all of Brown/Hayward and Tatum on the floor together.

A true bigman who can alter alot of shots, pass the ball, and rebound the hell out of it.

Also, he would be a very nice front court pairing with Al, imo.

I think the use of Blake as a pseudo-point forward has been a big part of this too, alongside Casey's coaching. This Detroit team doesn't generate an awful amount of assists anyway.

I've always liked him, and thought if he was surrounded with elite shooting - which has never been the case for him - he'd be able to absolutely thrive. Just gobble up the inside scoring and offensive rebounds, and then defensively he'd likely thrive under Coach Stevens. His defence is at career-best levels this season anyway. Hope he can keep it up, but without causing us any headaches

Drummond is a guy who puts up numbers but I'm not convinced he really impacts winning.  He grabs a bunch of boards and gets a lot of touches, but I've never been convinced he really makes anything easier for his team on either end.

Steven Adams, for example, is miles better than Drummond.
