How anyone can ignore the this team's front runner mentality and completely lack of effort in games like this is beyond me.
Ainge seriously needs to consider finding a new coach of Brad can no longer get through to these guys. Poor effort is a direct indictment of poor coaching.
TP. People don't want to admit the obvious problem is Brad and the coaching staff simply not getting through to the guys, likely because before this year he was thought of as a major advantage for us. The coaching staff just doesn't have the tough character needed to manage this level of talent and take the team to the next level.
Same case can be made for Doc Rivers when he was coaching the Celts before KG and Ray joined Pierce in 2007.
Celts fans also wanted Doc fired before the magical 2007-08 season.
The problem with the Celts right now is they don't have the right mix of players.
All the Celts do is shoot 3-pointers.
That's why the Celts were leading big in the 1st half.
When the 3s were not falling in the 2nd half, Celts lost the lead and eventually lost the game.
What the Celts need is diversity on offense.
That's why Ainge is going after Anthony Davis.
Davis will provide that inside presence the Celts have been lacking since KG left in 2013.
Inside-outside basketball.
That's what the Celts need.
When the 3s are not falling, go inside.
In this game, the Clipper bigs did a good job defending the paint.
Tatum and Brown didn't have success against the Clipper bigs.
I think we have to wait until Brad gets that star big man before we can say the problem is the coach.
Remember, Doc Rivers suddenly became a genius after the Celts won a championship in 2008.
