Clearly, the clearest losers of this trade deadline are our favorite losers - The LA Lakers.

Reasons why:

- They didn't get AD even though they went all in. Now they will have to compete against the entire league for him.
- Their young core is emotionally shaken as their front office and LBJ wanted to trade them and all went public.
- Lost Zubac for Muscala (who was available in FA but they didn't know they wanted him then). They went for non-shooters ATT. Zubac may not be a top center but he is a small asset.
- Got Carmelo who, on the floor,  is worse than Beasley.
"The joy of the balling under the rims."

I m picking Raptors to win it all

I think this knocks them out of Kawhi if Raptors are close series with GS.

I see no reason for Kyrie to run to Bron.  Bron will be worse next year , not better.

KD will either be at GS or Clippers

Maybe Lake s get Boogie ?

I think DA will trade with NO no matter what

Bron an't winning a title this year at LA .  Its pretty much next year or bust .  He ll be too old two years with out two major stars on his team  from now to beat Davis , Kawhi or,KD lead teams .

I can see Bucks winning it all ahead of Raptors imo.

Raptors lost some key depth in the deal, and either Gasol, Siakam, or Ibaka is going to either go to the bench or play out of their most effective position.

I'll take the Bucks. [dang], they look good now.

until rondo killed us... it is crazy that shot could be difference between them making playoffs or not given how close west is.

Welp.  I keep pointing out that this year’s Lakers team is much better than last year’s Cavs team.  IMO.
Health is key...and they haven’t had it much at all.
If healthy, very tough playoff out for any Western team...

The Lakers making the playoffs is in the Celtics interests. That keeps the Kings in the Lotto.

if Bron stay healthy , he always does,   he ll drag LA back into the playoffs , just like he did the Cavs .  He gets his team so many easy bucket s or look s passing the ball.  When he is off the court , every bucket for LA is a problem .   He makes them look way better than they are .  He is a giant Rondo .

Not cheering for the Lakers at all just keeping an eye on that Kings pick!

you're missing the impact on the Clips pick.  if the lakers make the playoffs, it's because they pushed out the Clips and would cost us that pick.  it's unlikely the Clips make a run at the playoffs next year so we wouldn't get a first rounder next year either and then end up with just a second rounder

Did you miss that the clippers just went into tank-mode?

They are going to get passed by several teams. It’s better for us if the Lakers make it and get trounced by the Warriors than the Kings. Both teams are going to comfortably pass the Clippers.

I think there’s a good chance the Clippers can get Kawhi and help this summer, which would be enough to make the playoffs next year.
