Pistons are finalizing a trade to send Stanley Johnson to Milwaukee for Thon Maker, league source tells ESPN.

Decent deal for both.

I would've like to kicked the tyres on Thon.

Maker wanted playing time. Where is he going to get it behind Drummond and Griffin?

Me too. Long, athletic player who can protect the rim and also seemed to pick up an outside shot last time we saw Milwaukee. They're also not getting much of a return for him.

Could mean either Griffin or Drummond gets dealt.

Now that would be interesting.

Interesting deal. Both guys weren't as effective as hoped, but both showed flashes of reaching their potential. Was it Game 4 that Maker was dropping 3s and blocking shots all over us? He looked like a poor man's KG with a rich man's KG's range that game.

If Johnson just focuses on being a defensive bulldog things get a lot tougher for our wings in a matchup. And if DJ Wilson carries over his improvement to the playoffs they won't miss Maker much at all.  I like it for the Bucks.

Me too...a deep team gets deeper...bad for us.

I don't like the Pistons for Thon Maker. He doesn't suit them. He is a finesse five. Detroit play power basketball around Blake and Drummond.

I doubt Maker is deserving of starting minutes anywhere (though that game of him draining 3’s against us sticks out. Ha), but he could probably see a good increase in minutes in a backup role than the 11 MPG he is currently getting.

I like it for the Bucks. Stanley Johnson could be a nice defensive player for them.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

The Bucks are scary good. Adding Johnson to what they already have is more impactful than The Sixers adding Harris.
