Team just announced it. Very different from the original diagnosis of a heel problem.  Could completely derail his career if his speed and explosion don't fully come back.

Wall suffered the torn Achilles tendon after slipping and falling in his home, team says.

Those of us that complain about Hayward's salary...look at this:

That's awful. Hate to see that happen to anybody.

Wonder if this changes the Wizards plans of dealing Beal before Thursday.

Would not mind Boston trying to rescue Beal if things don't work out with AD.

It's kind of amazing how Wall is looking more and more like Gilbert Arenas 2.0.

This is yet another example of GET THE MONEY WHILE YOU CAN. His game is completely built on his speed, he will likely never be the same player unless he starts developing different aspects of his game.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.

As a resident NOVA/DC/MD, you can just hear a collective disappointed sigh from everyone in those states are. Wall when he first came out drafted in the 2010 NBA draft, there was plenty of hype. He was one of the fastest point guards, albeit slightly older than most PG's, (he was a fifth-year high school player,) so the issue that stemmed with Rondo, also held true with Wall's.

Couldn't shoot, selfish at times, not a locker room leader, and his defense while above average, many pondered how intense he could be when picking his man one on one.

Now with him tearing his ACL, and game built entirely on speed, we're going to have to see if Wall takes the Derrick Rose approach, (rehab 100%, try to improve shooting form, and work his butt off in recovery to improve other aspects of his game.)

Pretty sad to see, but I wasn't surprised. I assumed he tore his ACL, and not his heel. But that really does suck, that he slipped and aggravted it.

Hoping for a speedy recovery, watching the Wizards go back to mediocrity is pretty sad sight to see. NOVA/MD/DC are full of passionate fans, but we have also seen our teams flunk consistently every year.

Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

He also had a post surgical infection from the first surgery. So they had a surgery to clean out the infection, and now they will need to repair his achilles tendon with a third surgery. Awful.
