What does this do to this season for Lebron?. There is dissention In locker room with Luke Walton. How is Lonzo going to take this and don't forget Lavar in the mix.
Will Anthony develop a phantom injury?.
Will Lebron continue to sit out?

LBJ will play to make the playoffs if he's healthy, they'll attempt to add via FA and trade for Davis in the summer.

Their plan will be to get a trade in place and then use cap space before completing the trade. So land top tier FA and Davis.

Maybe LeBron gives it a try for a couple of games to see if they can quickly make up ground on the Clippers. And if that doesn't work out he'll sit for the remainder of the season. Then the Lakers tank for a better draft pick, the young guys can pad stats and improve their value and LeBron can save his body.

The disfunctional locker room will help LeBron to get Walton fired and bring in a coach of his liking and in the off-season they'll comeback to the Pelicans with another offer. And in the meantime Rich Paul will do anything to put pressure on the Pelicans FO to fulfil Davis his wish to go to LA.

Lovely guy, LeBron James. Who wants to play with a manipulating diva like that?
Kyrie doesn't, Kevin doesn't, Kawhi probably doesn't.

There’s no doubt in my mind Davis will develop a phantom injury or at least something minor that they will ride out.  I’ve had Davis 3 of the last 4 years in fantasy basketball and have watched all this games and followed him daily.  He spends a lot of time going to the locker room and missing time here and there to little injuries.  It seems like every other game he goes to the locker room.  It won’t take them long to “justify” him being out.

I do not understand why players want to sign with LAL. You have an overbearing, ball dominant top player, an inexperienced coach (for now), and Magic Johnson as your GM.

Weather? Half the league already has a house there. And during the season, you're on the road 50% of the time.

If they don't make a trade at the deadline, they could go into the offseason having just been blasted in the first round, then go pitch FAs on joining a 34-year-old Lebron.

Maybe I am being naive but I just don't get it.

At this point you ll always have a low key , yes man coach where Bron plays .  Its all aboutbhim and getting him the money he needs . He is not a team player .  I don't think Bron can play for a real leader or coach ever again.   He is defiant and spoiled to the point of no return now.  Sooner he is out as player the better .

Magic isn't the GM.  Lebron may be overbearing, but he wins and he wins a lot.  This team would be the 4th or 5th seed if Lebron didn't miss a month (at least that is what their win percentage pace would yield) and that is with a pretty young and/or old and crappy roster outside of Lebron.  If Lebron is healthy they could beat every single team in the West in a playoff series, except the Warriors.  I'm not saying they will, but only the Warriors would blast them.

It isn't hard to see why players would want to go there.  You get to win and win for what most people outside of New England regard as the greatest franchise in the sport's history.  The weather is great.  The Lifestyle is great.  It is a nice place to be when you have millions of dollars.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

All valid points.  The flip side of the equation is the scrutiny you face if you fail to win a championship with LeBron on your team.  Both Ty Lue and Kevin Love had severe anxiety issues from the circus surrounding James.  I'm not blaming LeBron directly, just stating that the weight of expectations is seemingly tripled for his teams.

Granted, things were different last season because LeBron was in the middle of a contract year.  I'm just not sure Davis is prepared to handle the scrutiny that comes along with failure.  He better hope that Golden State doesn't remain intact.

The Lakers are already panicking. Look at what they're offering for AD? Basically half their roster and the Pelicans are still hesitant about dealing him to the Lakers.

If the Lakers get him, then how do they fill the rest of their roster. And who's to say any free agent is going to sign with the Lakers this summer?

I can't predict the future, but I can tell you what I hope. That this Laker experiment burns in hell. That Lebron ends up being stuck on a mediocre team for the rest of his career (not like he's suffering from all his endorsements) and that this whole thing blows up in Magic Johnson's face (who's always struck me as a con-man and someone who just really lacks any intelligence on how to run a sports franchise.)

I am hoping this Davis trade does NOT happen by the deadline Thursday. Then I hope that a Patriots contingent show up for the Laker game with the Lombardi trophy so that the LA fans can see it

If Lebron can't manipulate the league into giving him two stars then he will turn to Smallfoot 2 in theaters summer of 2020.

Lakers pull out because they don't want to bid against themselves. 😂😂

Wait, they're behind his agent having AD jump out there when no one even was talking about an AD deal.

Congratulations you played yourself.

Now we are going to see how strong of a Celtics locker room there is.  Horford, Morris, Hayward, Kyrie, CBS.  Can the young guys forget the rumors?
