Kevin Durant has avoided post-game interviews following each of the Golden State Warriors' past two games.

The Warriors haven't provided an official explanation, but those absences have coincided with the New York Knicks trading Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks.

Many have speculated that the Knicks made the move to create two max contract slots in pursuit of Durant and Kyrie Irving.

its always the same with NY and LA .....a quick rebuild with spending money and hiring FA stars .     LA had a nice start going on ,  but along came Lavar and Magic .  Two impatient big mouths

Probably as simple as not wanting to be harassed about his future when he’s trying to focus on this season... the same reason kyrie is angry at the media right now.

The writing is on the wall anyways... KD will be gone in summer.

He already rode the Warrior coat tails for one Yr too many, he won't earn any legacy there if he stays TBH.

Best for him is to detach from the shadow of Staph and be on his own team since he has already won 2 rings.

Ok, Who wants to deal with Dolan?
An incompetent franchise doesn't get those truly top players. Amare singing, OK. Resigning money maximizing Melo - sure, maybe they get Kemba, I get it. But getting KD and Kyrie like NY media claims is a pipe dream clickbait, that sounds to me like one of those titles "Man ate a whole car".

BTW, here is a link to the guy in Serbia that ate a whole car.

He's skipped post-game interviews in two games? Wow

You know what they say: once is a chance, twice is a coincidence clear evidence of my conspiracy theory

Kyrie and KD can play here together. Trade Hayward, Tatum or Brown, and Sac pick. GSW gets 2 young players (1 with pick), still are title favorites, won’t lose KD for nothing, and look great when Gordon returns to all-star form next year.  C’s win the East for the foreseeable future. No way both bolt from the great situation in Boston for the unknown in NYC.

Then all he has to do is say that.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

It wouldn't really matter, you still wouldn't believe him, right?

No surprise he's avoiding the media regardless of whether or not he wants to stay in Golden State.  This is the same guy who created burner accounts to defend himself on social media.

These guys get paid boatloads of money but I can understand their frustrations over social media.  It's taken speculation to new heights and most of them don't know how to handle it properly.  This is the same reason we see Kyrie going on his long rants.   New rumors (which are 90% fake) will always come through at the perfect time.

I doubt they would do this package.

If Kevin Durant is bent on going to the Celtics or the Knicks, he could threaten the Warriors that they do a sign-and-trade with him to the Celtics or that he opts out of his contract and signs in New York as a free agent.

If Hayward shows flashes of his former self then he could be a decent replacement for Durant, but I think that Horford is a great fit for the Warriors.

A sign-and-trade with Durant for Hayward/Horford (+ small asset) actually makes some sense for the Warriors in that case.

I think that it is farfetched and that Durant doesn't even think about this scenario and that he probably prefers building his own team in New York than joining an already (reasonably) succesfull Boston team. But it's fun to think about.
