Very true. Zarren is awesome. I’m not sure if it’s Ainge or somebody else who is in charge of hiring decisions, but our front office has got to be in the top three overall in the NBA.
I assume Zarren is getting paid like a GM, he could have been one by now if he wanted to.

We are in such a good position that our team would probably at least be about where it is right now without our two most recent max additions (Kyrie and Hayward).

I know depth is a bit overrated, but people are talking about NYK is going to sign two max FAs and start rolling. Why would Kyrie want to leave a team where he is already in control, but doesn't have to kill it every night to go play for a totally stripped down NYK team. Horford, Tatum, Brown, and Smart aren't walking through that door...or very possibly AD.

So, yes, I agree with Roy. Even though we haven't won a title for 11 years, our team has a very bright future even with the Hayward signing/injury.

I assume Zarren is getting paid like a GM, he could have been one by now if he wanted to.

I've definitely read that Zarren has had opportunities but he's chosen to stay in Boston. I don't know why. Maybe he likes being out of the spotlight, or has loyalty to the Celtics or maybe Ainge has him under hypnosis.

Whatever it is, I'm grateful for it.

one very good prospect and a big man with an injury history, recovering from an injury that does not bode well for his athleticism. I'll take our team any day of the week
