Wowza is right. I wonder for whom/what besides DSmith Jr.?

I'm guessing Smith, 2019 DAL 1st Round pick, DeAndre Jordan (expiring contract) for KP and Hardaway Jr.  Haven't checked to see if this work in trade machine.  I'm assuming the Knicks want to clear cap space for free agency though.

DSJ + DeAndre (expiring) + Wes Matthews (expiring) + DAL pick for Zinger + Courtney Lee + Hardaway Jr.

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

I think the Knicks have to ask for Hardaway and Lee to be included in the deal.

That opens up nearly 70 million dollars in cap space in the summer.

I could have been 77 if they hadn't stretch Noah and instead included draft picks to a team like the kings to get rid of him.

Wow, if Porzingis goes to Dallas, that team is a huge contender with Luka Doncic when healthy. Harrison Barnes, DeAndre Jordan, and Wesley Matthews.

That team is gonna be fun to watch.

This is why I can't stand being a Knicks fan.

Seriously this team is a joke.

They had THJ, let him go, then signed him again, passed on DSJ for 18 year old raw French PG who is meh.

Had all the leverage in the world with KP, and basically salary dumped for a player who they passed up on originally.

Saw this on Twitter from Woj:

"New York has agreed with Dallas on trade that includes Kristaps Porzingis, Courtney Lee, Tim Hardaway Jr., for Wesley Matthews, Dennis Smith Jr. and DeAndre Jordan, league sources tell ESPN. Players and agents are being notified of particulars. Deal may include more draft assets."

The worst part is that they will probably be rewarded with two max free agents this off-season.  I really hope they strike out hard.

Holy crap I just realized Smith Jr was who the Knicks passed on to take Nkilitina too. So it's basically all just undoing their own mistakes.  They legit dumped their young stud building block for a bottle of White-out.

I don't even understand why the Knicks gave up on KP so easily... Especially for DSJ...

Like seriously... But who knows, DSJ and Zion might be a nice duo.

They want to make a run at Durant and Kyrie or Butler plus a top pick.  It's all about cap space.
Because it worked out so well for them back in 2010 with LeBron/Wade/Bosh etc

They are such an awfully run franchise. Just give up their best player in like 2 decades as part of a salary dump.

Yeah they're gonna wind up actually paying like Middleton and Barnes lol. Though I'd hate that for Middleton.

That's actually one of the smarter moves they've made. They can't afford to dump picks. If anything, now they have their own 1st rounder and now the Dallas 1st to put in a package for AD if he's not traded by the deadline.

So is Porzingis going to play this year?  Could help Dallas push past Sacramento in the standings, improving the Kings pick.

Or even if he doesn't, maybe Hardaway gives the Mavs a jolt, and Jordan/Matthews were holding the Mavs back?  Wishful thinking here, but one can hope.

Just hoping this improves the Mavs this year.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Dallas trying to corner the market on legendary white guy foreigners.  First Detlef, then Dirk, technically Nash (Canada)... now Luka and Zinger

I assume this trade is contingent on Zinger waiving his physical?  Dude can be medically retired by the age of 28 at this pace.

I’m hoping it improves the Knicks more, at least out of the bottom 3 or 4. Cap space is no longer an issue, which makes an AD trade easier.
