-doncic posts career-high 35 points in a triple-double, making 14-of-24 FGs and 4-of-6 FTs with 12 rebounds, 10 assists and three 3-pointers.

-Doncic is now the only player in league history with two triple-doubles as a teenager, and he's scored 30+ points in six games while every other rookie has combined for five such games.

-first rookie in league history to post at least 30 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block in a game

Pretty sure he’s also the youngest player with a 30 point triple double now, surpassing LBJ. Crazy gifted

He absolutely should be, his performance has simply been amazing this season, and this is coming from a guy who's still sticking with his opinion that the hawks will come out as winners of this trade.

At least this year there won't be any debate on who will be rookie of the year between an actual first-year rookie and a second-year player.

Yes, he should be an all-star. He's having a remarkable year as a rookie, foreigner, and teenager.

IMO he has a more convincing season than Tobias, Gallo, J. Murray and even Westbrook.

I think it’s right up there with the Brooklyn trade in terms of worst moves post-2000

it is. And fultz for tatum+lotto pick could end up looking real ugly too.

Doncic for young is bad though. That might go down like drafting Sam bowie at number 2 instead of Michael jordan. Atlanta may have drafted an isaiah Thomas clone over  Bird 2.0

Particularly if the Sac pick is moved as part of a package for AD, lol.

Brutal move by the Hawks. Shame for them, because I think Collins, Prince and Huerter are all good pieces, and I think Spellman will be a good bench big for a long time.

The Fultz case is a bit different. There is a freak injury involved while with the other cases is more of a poor scouting job (a very very poor one)

There's still the lotto pick from the Mavs this year yet to be taken into account so it's a bit too early to decide which team has won the trade.

The Mavs aren't even a bottom 10 team in the league, so unless Atlanta steal some star late in the lotto I can't see that swinging it. Trae Young has been about as inconsistent and unimpressive as I thought he'd be

I believe they underestimated his marketing potential. Atlanta undersells tickets constantly and they probably thought Trae Young could help with that given his popularity during his college tenure. Doncic, though, has the international appeal. Look at all the All-Star votes he garnered - that fans voted him in as a starter, it was the media and players that kept him out.
