love Smart but Jaylen's the better offensive player and no slouch as a defender.   It's not even a debate for me.

What a game by these two tonight - both were electric!

Smart: 21 points / 7 assists / 5 steals / 2 blocks
Brown: 21 points / 9-16 fg / 6 rebounds / +13

And to think, one of these two would be secondary to Tatum for an AD deal (unless Brown continues his upward trajectory). We really do have a lot of talent on this team.

Answering this Q is too hard.  I seriously want to keep both.  Throw in more draft picks, or do something else.

I wish a Rozier S&T ($$$) was an option but @Nick has reminded me it's not unfortunately  :(

Make everyone available but Kyrie and Tatum. Every pick also.

I'd be pretty disappointed and downright shocked if Danny walked away from an Anthony Davis trade because of Jayson Tatum.

I think you can get AD and still keep Tatum. Would rather you send out Brown, Hayward, Rozier and all four picks.
And never have a free agent come to Boston ever again? And make CBS likely quite upset? Moving Hayward is incredibly shortsighted considering this year was always going to be purely concerned with shaking rust off

Wow Gouk - you and I agree on something.
I think you are exactly right about each point you make - plus, it's just a sorry way to treat a player who left a great situation to become a Celtic. Hayward is busting it trying to get back, but I say he needs to lower his expectations for now and give his body, and mind, more time to recover from a horrible injury.

Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

Well if saltover had been active recently, he would be letting you know the same thing.

S&T with Rozier is possible in a multiple team deal but you either have to get specific teams involved with the matching salary but also from a team under the cap and if Rozier's salary isn't really big. The more the value of that S&T the harder it gets to do.

Also, you could do it by making the trade much larger meaning even more C's assets headed out at possibly a loss. I mean Rozier would need to not be S&Ted for no more than $13 million while increasing total salary exchanging hands going into the $36-38 million total or more.

I’ve come to terms with Tatum Rozier and picks.  Maybe Morris instead of picks but that’s pushing it.  Would love to keep Tatum but probably won’t happen

Neither Morris nor Rozier will be a part of the trade due to being free agents. Therefore you would need to sign and trade them which makes doing the trade at levels of salary Rozier and Morris would want almost impossible.

I would comes to terms with the trade being Tatum and more with Rozier, Kyrie, Horford, Hayward and Morris being a part of the deal, for a myriad of reasons discussed in detail all across this blog

I just wanted to bring this topic up again since I have seen countless posts the last few days that say they don’t want to give up both Tatum and Brown. If you look at the results of this poll, however, you will see plenty more people prefer a package of Tatum/Brown over Tatum/Smart - are members of Team Brown just not voting?

I would love to keep both. If they can work the numbers to do a Rozier S&T and Rozier agrees to it, would love to keep both of Brown and Smart.

Of course, I chose keeping Brown. Brown might be on the same level of a defensive player as Smart very shortly but Brown is an offensive stud compared to Smart. Brown will be the overall better player, probably by a lot, in just a couple years.

Also, I have no faith in Smart maintaining his three point shooting, though I hope I am wrong.

If you told me Smart shot like this for the rest of his current deal I'd keep him. He's been an amazing player this year and he's signed on a bargain contract for this level of play.

But I don't think this is the new normal for him shooting, so I'd keep Brown.

If the comments attributed to AD about being  a rental are genuine, there is no deal for AD that makes sense for the Celtics.

Danny wont unless he gets assurance that both Irving and AD sign a long extension

Again ...Danny was not even willing to include one for Irving
