After one half, our starters can hang with the Warriors starters. Our bench however needs work
I think it's more our coaching needs work. Kerr balances his starters with his bench really well, whereas Brad loves to quickly, like in a 2 minute span, replace his starting 5 with his bench 5. Really hurts us against good teams like the Warriors, where a guy like Durant or Curry is still in

Part of it is they have two premier scorers , three if you consider Klay, so they can afford to keep one in at all times. We have one.
That's what happened. When Brad went to his usual bench group, GS left Durant in and Durant went for like 12 straight points. Then Durant sat and in came Curry and Curry stuck 4 straight threes on the bench group.

The defense wasn't bad on Durant and Curry. It was okay to real good, especially on Durant, but both players are freaks and got hot.

Not much you can do when the 2nd and 3rd best players on the planet get hot against bench players. Even bench players as good as ours.

I agree, but we also have 2 of the premier defenders in the league in Smart and Al, who were off when Curry scorched us. We need Smart to mirror Curry's minutes IMO, as others have said.

But criticism of our coaching can just be dismissed because we're doing well enough, I guess. ::)

I agree about Smart mirroring Curry’s minutes. We have to be careful with Horfords minutes though, with that knee tendinitis and his age, he’s going to get ample rest until the playoffs
Yeah, that's true, I forgot about that.

Heck, as long as he can keep scorching Boogie I'm happy. Throw Timelord in the deep end! I think his lateral mobility would work much better against Looney than Baynes' strength

Morris has taken a couple bad shots tonight, but he's not playing poorly.  He's the only guy we have who can sort of guard Durant.  Tatum has no hope, and Brown isn't big enough.  Morris holds his own.

I'd like him to lose the bad iso looks for the rest of the night, but otherwise, keep playing hard.

I could see Brown being the guy, or Horford if he continues how he's played

Yeah, not specifically talking about hpantazo here, as his comment here is somewhat true, but the continued Brad apologism on this board is strange, especially after this year where he has clearly been subpar with managing this team.

I get that people won't be as hard or critical of him as some of us, but to continue to put him on this golden pedestal and react negatively to any kind of criticism of him (even blatantly obvious criticisms) seems dishonest given how mediocre he has been this year.

Granted, at least the apologism is not nearly as bad now as past years.

The box score stats are ridiculously close, to almost exactly the same. That's pretty amazing

I don't think its apologism, but the negativity is overbearing at times.
