Kawhi Leonard purchased a $13.3 million, five-acre home in Rancho Santa Fe, located in San Diego County.

The purchase was made through a corporate entity listing Leonard as the manager. The 13,000 square foot home features 7 bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms.

Leonard went to college at San Diego State University

Well, he did go to college there and is a California native.
He will also live some 40-60 years after his playing career is over, so I wouldn't rule out Toronto just yet.

Just like I thought before the season, I still think that much of his decision will revolve around their playoff success.

I'm all for Kawhi leaving Toronto for the Clippers. Makes the road to the finals that much easier for the Celts, and ensures that the Clippers pick that is owed to us conveys in 2020 if it doesn't this year.

Wouldn't devastate Toronto too much since they'd still have Lowry/Ibaka to keep or move for some nice young pieces, and also have some good young talent in Siakam, Anunoby, Van Fleet, ect. Not like they'd suddenly sink and be as bad as ATL or CLE.

I don't see this as a big deal at all, can't imagine he is going to commute from San Diego to LA with that traffic everyday so even if he did go to LA he would still need to get a condo or whatever. If this house was a 30 minute drive from the Clippers practice facility then this would be spicy.

He actually bought a house in Toronto earlier this season though.  Why would he buy a house in Toronto if he had no intention of staying in Toronto?  Most players just rent a nice condo or house downtown if they get traded some where and they don't actually purchase a house.  I'd say that is a much bigger indicator of future intentions then a guy buying a home where he went to college which doesn't actually have a NBA team.

id say if anything it’s evidence of him signing in Toronto,  but given he has multiple houses it probably means nothing. 

But someone buying a house in San Diego is in no way evidence they plan to work in Los Angeles.  If he signs with LA he will likely buy a house in one of the neighborhoods around there like Malibu (where kg lives) or Brentwood (where LeBron and my grandma live).
