14. KZ Okpala - you want to grab the next "Siakam"? well this is the guy.  6'8-6'9 F with 7'1 wingspan.  The way he can find space/creative ways to finish around the basket is elite.  Hard to stop once on the move.  Good shooting form.  Good versatile defender. Needs to add more mass

20. Naz Reid - A 6'10 version and better shooting version of Montrezl Harrell.  Loves contact around the basket.  High motor.   But can also spread the floor and hit the 3's.  Needs to learn how to harness his energy a little better at times but is still young

22. Cam Johnson - From 6'2 pg to now 6'8 g/f.  He reminds me of Shaun Livingston/Klay Thompson.  One of the top shooters.  The issue is , is skinny and can be considered either a versatile defender or tweener defender that can't really keep up with top level guards but not strong enough to defend forwards.   End of the day, could be a very good 6th man/3 point specialist the Celts could use

Okpala has a very ugly herky jerky style which I find hard to watch. Don't want him, especially not with #14. Reid is a weird player, but he's too much out of control and I don't think much of him as a defender. The only pick you proposed I believe to be reasonable is #22 Cam Johnson, but he's more someone you'd take if you're specifically looking for a shooter of the bench. That's not what the Celtics should do, we have to shoot for the fences and try to find that player that everybody overlooks that has hidden potential. Reid would fit that description, but that's not the guy I like  :P

I highly doubt that we will keep all these picks but if we do my favourites are:

Alexander-Walker: https://youtu.be/h-CPBhXHkj8

Thybulle: https://youtu.be/aMUcaPcw-f8

Wildler: https://youtu.be/0VspDO1zjXk

Darius Bazley: https://youtu.be/vL8N1QUjV2Q

Daquan Jefferies: https://youtu.be/WTuvrm8witk (biggest sleeper)

I know Thybulle's off-ball defense is amazing, but how is he on-ball? Not much to find about that.

He would be a fans' favourite very quickly I'm sure, but can he lockdown people?
If he's able to lockdown elite guards (to be) like Harden, Beal, Fox, Simmons, Booker than that's a very valuable skill.
I love Smart, but last season I thought most of the time they got the better of him unfortunately.

In that case it wouldn't matter if his only skill on offense is knocking down the occasional three.

I wonder if most of the board know who Goga Bitadze is aside from their first impression that he's a "stiff". Can't believe that people want a bunch of obscure wings and guards over him at #14. I mean I'd understand if guys like Rui Hachimura are their first choice at #14 (although there's a good argument that Bitadze would be a better pick), but guys like Okpala? What?
He will remind some of Zizic, no doubt. Unlike Zizic, he does look like he has a nice midrange shot, he has some clever moves in the post, and he is undoubtedly more explosive. He's not a total stiff, but IMO, he's not athletic enough to ever be much more than what Baynes is.

on point. But like Zizic is "below" rim.  Doesn't have an amazing wingspan to makeup  for lack of vertical leap
He is much more athletic than Zizic both vertically and laterally. He's got a better vertical than Kanter too

its a small difference

Zizic in space can rise and hammer too you know.  But at the nba level when he going to find this "space"

I feel the same could be for Bitadze.

Btw Kantar moves much more fluid than Bitadze.

It's not at all a small difference. Bitadze is closer to Zubac than Zizic if anything.

Teenage Kanter did not move at all like teenage Bitadze:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2uwgzZeark
vs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3ZtUvAhzuQ

Bitadze routinely gets up faster and looks as quick, if not more so than Kanter
^this. And ETN he's much more athletic than Baynes, ntm that he's a dribbler/passer that Baynes can only dream to be. His projection is much more Nurkic/Kanter than Baynes.

I'm warming up for Bitadze. There are some very talented centers (big men) available in this draft. Just need to pick the right one. I like Gafford, Fernando, Bol and Bitadze most. According to most mocks they should all be available where we're picking.

Naz Reid
Bruno Fernando
Jaxson Hayes
Daniel Gafford
PJ Washington
Rui Hachimura
Bol Bol
Goga Bitadze
Nicolas Claxton
Jontay Porter
Mfiondu Kabengele
Luka Samanic
Grant Williams
Tacko Fall

We are talking about 20 and 22 picks

and you sound like you want to find the next top 10 pick at these spots

cmon

I personally don't care about "style" as long as they can help make an impact

Team doesn't need another ball hog like Irving. Team has enough wing facilitators

Okpala ability to drive and finish would open things around the perimeter.  Naz Reid is very good on the low post that could potentially open things up again. Cam Johnson = self explanatory

when you have the Bucks , "sitting" on your easy to guard team offense (everything to the perimeter)... you need to add different looks

Celtics should aim to build their roster like Raptors/Bucks.  Inside/outside offense + versatile defense

Imo there is no point of reaching for Thybulle

what is the exact impact of a guy that is good at defense but can't be dependent on, on offense?

You can just sit and draft another defensive wizard guard - Josh Reaves etc with #51

Hence Harrell comparison

which big do you like 20 or 22??

I doubt Fernando or Kabengele will still be there at 20

I'm hoping the Celts can nab one of these 3 and D front court players.  Should fit well with CBS system and insurance just in case Horford walks

Okapala vs Kansas.  Shows more of his drive and kick/passing skills.  Good defensive intensity

https://youtu.be/TIRwdiJ44ic?t=93

Naz Reid vs Arkansas (vs C/PF prospect Gafford).  More shooting, off the dribble. Very good for 6'10 center

I'm sure he was good on defense. But he needs to be REALLY good on defense to be worth a first round pick as it's hard for a guard to become a valuable rotation player, when you're very limited offensively.

Is his defense comparable to (or even better than) for instance Marcus Smart, Victor Oladipo or Dejounte Murray?

Predict which players the C's will select with picks #14, #20, #22, and #51
