Our old friend Jae Crowder scored 30 points and pulled down 7 boards against Toronto in 27 minutes last night.

Checking in with Crowder his shooting percentages have been very solid this season with averages of .350 3p% and a .532 eFG%.

Not bad for a player making just 7.3 million in the fourth year of a five year contract signed with the Boston Celtics back in 2015.  He'll be an unrestricted free agent again in the 2020-2021 NBA season.

It's sad that he's become such an average defender. Was a fan of him before he got all snarky, but glad to see him doing somewhat well, even if it is on a losing under-performer

I will never forgive him for what he did to Gordon Hayward. Lebron had Gordon more than covered and then Jae consciously decided to blind side Gordon with that hard foul.  I will always believe it was done with malice - not saying he was trying to break his shine bone and ankle - but was definitely trying to crash into him while Gordon was in the air - was trying to deliver message.  UNFORGIVABLE.

So are we making threads every time a role player gets 30 pts in a loss? Because these forums might get a little backed up.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

No, just when the poster got roasted for doing a "which player would you rather have" between Gordon Hayward, Evan Turner, and Jae Crowder, and now wants to imply that this makes Jae Crowder better than Hayward

He even threw in Crowder's salary for no reason
I'm bitter.

Bingo.

Lebron did the same thing to Danny Granger in the playoffs. Injured him on purpose.

F Lebron and Crowder.

Jae has always been a paper tough guy. Talks a good game, but as we've seen when it gets rough out there he packs it in. As an NBA player...he's just okay.

Crowder has found himself in a system that fits his talents well. He's a good role player when he is used correctly and has teammates that he likes.

But I don't miss him. The wings we have now are immensely more talented, even if a few of them are currently playing below their abilities.

good for crowder. i liked him as a celtic since he played hard. he was, and is, not overly talented and clearly is a role player on a good team.

but given he was a celtic it is nice to see him have a good night.

not sure where he would play on celtics now. morris is clearly the better player.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

It still amazes me that the Cavs couldn’t fit in Jae Crowder. He should have been close to an ideal player for them.  I chalk it up to poor leadership from Lebron and the coaching staff.

Lebron's leadership last season really left a lot to be desired...

funny that two seasons ago crowder’s stats were identical to brown’s last season.  Neither has played well since... and yet they both randomly dropped 30

Big difference between a year and 30 games and 30 games. Big difference between being 22 and 28.

I am glad I am not the only one that feels this way and am really surprised no one else picked up on it.

F*** Crowder.

I hold both Lebron and Crowder responsible for that injury.

I don't miss Crowder one bit but what worries me if that he is doing well in Hayward's old slot.   System guy?
